Am just trying to figure out the best way of installing a 2x8-an feed OR 1x10-an and 1x 6-an return on the SC . It got a different layout from our MKIVs.. damn fuel tank is leaning against the back seat back rest and its opening is right there.

Omar - how did your car run with the V160 getrag compared to the R154 ? Do you have your new differential installed ? what is the gear ratio ?

because i still have the 3.69 diff , i top fifth at around 140 mph (but i get there really quick with a 2900lbs car) . new diff is 3.35 (thats the lower i can found coming from a nissan) shifting is way smoother but i don't know why second is grinding at low speed . I am waiting to see if it goes away (i put new v160 fluid before installed) you or me don't know how long that tranny seat before you bough it from the importer . if not i heard good reviews about the royal purple syncromesh manual tranny oil .i got to bottles ready to go in just in case .

Yeap , you need a lower gear ratio for the getrag then you will enjoy it better. I use Royal Purple .. great stuff man... not expensive compared to the damn Toyota Dexron II ... Don't use Redline on that V160 , a friend told me that the bushings / rubbers inside ... expands . Did you by the way replace the filter on the tranny pan ? I will , if I were you , since we dont know how damn old that is .

Anyone interested with a 1uzfe long block , pick it up and it is yours ! I will keep the tranny and some accessories as spare since I still have that other SC400. Once I have done a 6 speed swap on that , then they all have to go.
