2jzGTE SCs - The Siblings of my Supra MKIV Toys

Took a break from the GTE wiring harness I was working on and did some stuff for the engine.... turbo oil supply . I had to put a 3/4" spacer for now on the turbo and manifold since that is the thickness of the Quick Spool Valve and I still do not have that part.

Sorry my friend, I really want to try the damn ATF trans on an engine that will dip into 1000rwhp . Wanted to see if it will hold on . My other two cars with the ATF trans do not have a big turbo to try the trans at 1000rwhp.
Richard - thanks and let me know how your TH400 perform on the highway / streets. Was there any tunnel beating or massaging with the TH400 ? Tried fitting the damn 4L80e , indeed needs a lot of beating on that tunnel.

Now I want to try this other ATF tranny to +1000rwhp at least on the dyno and hoping it holds which I believe it will since it wont be for long it is on that power during the dyno session . Much more such power I will never use on the streets more likely not unless I am on a lonely deserted road like the roads I play in our place of South GA. My PT-6870 and 200 shots of direct port nitrous can bring it there.
Am almost done with my GTE harness for my 3rd 2jzgte SC . I just need to check every wire / connector one more time so I avoid pesky troubleshooting once installed. For break in , I kept the harness as stock as it can be and will get the car started with 440cc injectors and the stock ECU (that's why I haven't replaced the denso injector plugs) so I can make sure it is all running well / broken in and buttoned up, no leaks before I install the 2433cc injectors / ProEFI and head to the dyno. It's a waste of time and money renting a dyno to tune the car just to get leaks while you are tuning. So breaking it in well for a couple of hundred miles does the trick for me.

Becareful how much you overlap that DEI TI wrap. If you overlap it too much the header will keep the heat in which over time can weaken the metal. I'd only overlap it by 1/4 in each pass. It looks like some of it is double wrapped toward the collector, which already gets really hot. Did you ever think of just getting the header coated?

You are right . I forgot about not overlapping them too much. I will redo that exhaust manifold.
Also I have actually coated the manifold with DEI High Temp Silicone Coating before wrapping.
thanks again for the reminder .

thanks though for the reminder Ryan.

Another $1k savings by doing my own harness . This engine will be dropped into the engine bay of my 3rd 2jzgte SC this week. I will install it even without the Quick Spool Valve yet but will install a 3/4" spacer so all my plumbing are all on the right spot when the spool valve comes in. That will give me a good opportunity to compare spool with and without the spool valve when everything else is the same... how much sooner or at what RPM my PT-6870 turbo attains full boost.
Have cleaned up and wrapped up the harness yesterday
Installed harness into the engine. After having a long chat with a well known supra builder last Friday, he told me that since I am not aiming for more than 1100rwhp on this car, to just use the stock intake manifold so I don't loose spool and torque down low. It will be a street car so you want to keep anything down low is what I have been told. You also avoid the quirkiness of big manifold during idle or at low rpms due to the large throttle opening. The stock manifold had been proven to handle that 1100rwhp. It is all about do you want to have a good responsive car or a car you can brag having a big and nicer manifold ? ....is what I have been asked . That made me think so off the aftermarket manifold on this car. My SCs are not show cars .. they are sleepers. Got my MKIVs if I want to have nice looking cars to roam around with.
I believe this car will be my new daily driver. It will have all the power I will need on the streets so I can play anytime with almost any car on the streets with good spool and a power that could dip into the 1000rwhp anytime I need the power . Since I am keeping only the best two of my SCs when all my projects are done , the Red Mamba Two which is my daily driver now will have to go .. trade it for anything interesting .. any trade offers ? It doesn't have to be a car, lmaol. Another car is the last thing I need right now. But if its a car , it should be something reliable that I can give as a gift for my youngest son or daughter. They know nothing about cars.

Getting pretty excited to get my new monster daily driver running. Just installed and did the lines for the Greddy filter relocation. I also need a Mocal sandwich plate with a thermostat for my oil cooler just like what I have on Red Mamba One. That can follow. Right now , I just want to break in the engine before I bring it to a dyno and tune it with the ProEFI.
One thing I don't cheap out is Failsafes for my engine. When you have tons of money on an engine setup, you want to make sure that it is protected when a catastrophe happens that is in as much as you can . I install a lot of sensors for the ECU to monitor so my engine can be protected. Like this is the oil pressure sensor after the oil filter . If oil pressure goes down a certain PSI , my PROefi shuts down the engine.

Everything looks great. I don't know how long that electrical tape will hold up. What I did on my stock harness was purchased different sizes of this and covered the entire harness in this sleeving. It looks amazing.

Looking good Gerry...
I will doing a oil filter relocation over winter.....its a PITA to get to especially if you have an aftermarket intake....and plus it will eliminate all the oil dripping down the block......
Much cleaner and accessible towards back of engine...

I have no idea yet Junan ... it won't be cheap , hahahaha . Just a non vvti 2jzgte swap refreshed with all new ARP hardware (mains, head studs , rod bolts ) , new oil pump , new water pump , all new gaskets like head gaskets , valve cover gaskets, intake & exhausts gaskets and seals like rear , main and cam seals and rear sump oil pan and 2jzgte harness will run you $5k without labor.... do the math. You got other items like inter-cooler and piping, oil cooler , fuel pump and fittings , 3" downpipe / midpipe , etc... At the end of the day you are already at $10k for a good 2jzgte running car. Some as experienced by some buddies spend over $10k just for an NA-T and way more than that for a 2jzgte swap with all the headaches associated with it.
And this car have a very nice black interior , viper alarm , etc ... I will put it back to completely stock 2jzgte perfect for a daily driver and capable of 400rwhp in its present form, BPU level, since you already have the 3" downpipe / midpipe , aftermarket intake , front mount inter cooler and you will have the Boost Cut Controller / Wide Band. But I would rather see it in my place and enjoy it every now and then if people would just start giving me low offers . As Chris (Chnk who knows most of the SC guys in GA being the group organizer) himself said it , a lot of guys who has SCs or want to have SCs want to have a fast car but don't want to spend on go fast goodies . Well , I really can't blame many because they are young kids on their mid 20s and below so they aren't established yet in their career or their life. And if ever they have the money, looks come first before the go fast goodies.
For me a good same value trade for another car I can give my youngest son or youngest daughter as a gift for their birthday would be perfect one or I can use a complete 6 speed VVTi 2jzgte engine swap.
