Well, I am almost there with my new Daily Driver Sleeper. I guess it is time to slowly start working on that rare 1997 SC300 5 speed, my 4th SC that will get a 2jzgte transplant. Well, looks like my current daily driver the Red Mamba Two really have to go if I get to work on this car. I have no plans of keeping 4 SCs . In fact I only want to keep 2 SCs and 2 MKIVs . I wonder if even 50% of those 120 manufactured in 1997 are still running. I seriously doubt about it.

So it has to get back its former glory but this time with a fully built VVTi 3.4 Stroker 2jzgte engine with a V160 6 speed transmission.

When clean , this car looks awesome . I will keep it simple , stock looking but lethal with its drive train just like my new DD Sleeper so it can play with any car any time , any where !

Thanks you guys ! Yeap , this car deserves the best being a rare 1997 5speed.

Today , I brought it nearer to the work area so I can start working on it . I will clean it up in the morning then paint the engine bay .

Default AD for the SC I have to let go

This is my ad on the Lexus Vehicles Section for the SC that has to go. In as much as I hate to let it go , I don't think it is wise to hold on to it and keep 4 2jzgte SCs. It is wiser I believe to hold on to the 1997 SC300 5 speed since it is rare and build on it. Don't our minds always change !

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Call or send text messages at 770 six nine six 3345 if interested.

1992 SC300 2JZGTE - $10k with the 18" Black wheels / $11k with the 20" Chrome Wheels .Everything I did on this car is well documented on my build thread on the SC section... no suprises...no cutting of corners. It might take a lot of time reading through my build thread. Be patient since it is probably the biggest build thread on Clublexus with over 200 pages, 3200 replies and 560k views so you will have to sift through a lot of pages . I have all my SCs on that build thread. Every work done on this car is detailed on that build thread so there are no surprises. I will sell this one as STOCK 2JZGTE with the Basic Performance Upgrades. I had to buy a number of SCs just to get the perfect black interior for this car. Engine had been refreshed with new oil pump, water pump , all gaskets and seals, piston rings with cylinders honed, new valve seals, etc. and ALL ARP Hardware for Head Studs, Mains Studs and Rod Bolts.... ready for you to get over 700rwhp with the right bolt ons. It has less than 500 miles and in fact still on the Brad Penn Break In oil. It has the Viper Remote Start / Car Alarm. I can discuss more the details to a prospective buyer. There are things for me that still need to be taken cared of to get it where I really wanted this car to be like front windshield has to be replaced , paint for me needed to be refreshed and AC is very cold but has freon leak and haven't had the chance to search for the leak.

Idle AFRs are right around 14.3 which is really good for a stock 2jzgte which normally idles on the richer side. I hate to let go of this daily driver since it is so reliable for me but I am about to fire up my new +1000rwhp Daily Driver Sleeper and had started working on my rare 1997 SC300 5speed for which there were only 120 made. I have no intention of keeping 4 2jzgte SCs. Keeping only the best 2 . So even my 850rwhp SC might in the future have to go . So with a heavy heart , got to let this , which is the most inferior among my SCs , go . In fact I still have to let go 2 6speed Supra MKIVs and a MKIV shell since I am only keeping 2 of the best MKIVs I have , those with 6speed and stroker motors.

Please don't try sending me low offers and waste your or my time. It doesn't hurt me if it stays in my place seeing it with all my other toys. Try searching for a 2JZGTE SC for which every damn thing done on it is documented so there are no surprises. Ask someone who has gone through the process of getting a 2jzgte or even an NA-T car built , the headaches and expenditures they have incurred.... way more than the price I am asking for this car .

Reason why among my 3 SCs , the car mentioned above has to go , it is because my other two have better drive trains... and soon my 1997 5speed will also have a +1000rwhp power plant

Call me Rey if you are really interested . I would prefer this car to go to someone I know. You know what kind of work I did on this car and it is a damn good car ... very clean and reliable. It can be better in terms of paint . I was actually wanting a shine body kit and was already discussing an order through Lo and a good paint job if i kept it. But that damn 1997 SC300 5speed , so hard to let go of it being very rare among the SCs.

Those 20 inch wheels look good on 1997 black SC. They didn't look as nice when it was on the red MK4 and red SC.

So Rey still doing a build or what? Last time I know he's selling all his parts.

After having gone through the process with my NA/T and loving it, the only "smarter/better" thing I can think of, is to buy a car already meticulously built by an enthusiast over time, with love.
This is such a car.....
Of all of the builds I have seen go by, this is one of the most desirable for that reason.
It's all about who built it and how...
I wish the timing worked out right..... (and it was one of the manuals).

GLWS!!

Not too sure what Rey's plan are right now. He probably just want to buy an already done car ...

Thanks SG . Honestly , getting cold feet about this sale. Too much love and money poured on every car I did so far. Just the new ATF built A340e transmission , 3500 stall converter , auto TT diff with new TRD LSD .. that's $5500 right in there. The 2jzgte fully refreshed engine with all new parts and all ARP hardware with a 2jzgte harness swap is at least $5k in there.... damn I haven't even counted the car itself , the perfect black interior , all other parts like intercooler , fuel system , viper security and others...most especially LABOR .... And all these having less than 500 miles ... 240 miles actually to be exact , lol.

Another thought that came to mind was , since I have a damn built / robust short block with CP Pistons / Carillo HD rods and other performance bolt ons for sale on SF, I will just slap those on this car since it is tough selling performance parts / cars and never get back your money anyway , and boost the damn car and make it another +1000rwhp sleeper and keep it.

Really hard letting go of something you worked hard for with sweat, love and tons of money for a low price ! And , I know ... I know ..lol.. my wife keeps on asking me "why do you need to have 8 x 2jzgte built cars ??????????????? " .....I don't know myself ... hahaha ! I need to go back to the rehab . I thought going for another Safari trip and an East Coast Road Trip this past summer would have helped take my mind out of these 2jzgte madness . Am back to square one , lmaol !
