Many times , local forum members tell me , "let me know when you see good deals" . But I begin to wonder if they indeed are looking for good deals to have a boosted SC or MKIV.

Like a Craigslist ad had been on the local site for more than a month. I see it every day. Wasn't interested till I realized that the quick spool valve was from SP and wastegate was a Precision after I have magnified the pictures using a graphics software. Below you see the pictures. Am pretty sure a lot of members have seen these . Just wondering why nobody is jumping on it so I decided to call the guy yesterday and ask questions. It was actually a freaking good deal for the price the owner was willing to let go of it. And the guy was a very nice person to deal with. Thanks Jeff !

It had the complete 2jzgte VVTI swap , Cams , already refreshed with new seals and a rear oil sump , a brand new knock off greddy intake manifold and throttle body and most of all a Brand New Sound Performance torque monster kit ( Precision PT-6266 CEA, Precision Waste Gate, Turbonetics Cast Manifold, SP Quick Spool Valve HD version -> All these parts are brand new) and other small things. The whole setup was not even ran or installed on the car . Just the SP Torque Monster Kit is well over $2500 and was willing to sell everything for $3k . So in short , went to his place yesterday , inspected the items and grabbed them.

These were his Craigs Ad pictures :

Just the Sound Performance Torque Monster kit and Intake Manifold , cams and other small things , got more than my money's worth. That means I had a free 2JZGTE VVTi swap. Well I bought the set just because I needed the SP Quick Spool Valve HD Version and the VVTi head for my current project. So the rest will be sold on SF where members are more performance oriented that's why performance parts are easier to sell there. No offense meant to anyone here but it is simply the reality. So at the end of the day , my VVTi head & cams with the Quick Spool Valve are free ! Got to be wise building your projects ! Especially me , being on my 8th 2jzgte toy , only way to keep up with them is looking for good deals.

Need two of these. They are $550 each at Sound Performance. Now I got one for free ... yehey !

Installing this particular one on my new daily driver with the PT-6870 so all the more it spools faster !

couldn't you piece together that kit for even less? it uses a log manifold, those are super cheap.

Try and let us know . Piecing together you mean buying each item from different stores. Then you have more shipping costs.

Precision PT-6266 CEA , Precision Wastegate , SP Quick Spool Valve , Ported Turbonetics Cast Manifold, Precision to Manifold Wastegate flange adapter . Two T4 gaskets , 4 manifold bolts / nuts . Let us know the price. Oh don't forget , there is no PRICE on the support you get from SP if you buy the kit from them.

Or are you thinking of getting cheaper parts ? I know what you have in mind again is the cheaper ebay log manifold that are not ported...lmaol. You get an uncleaned manifold with slugs and run it , there goes your turbo , damaging the turbine wheel. You get a cheaper ebay wastegate , you run the risk of damaging your engine. Don't tell me you are planning to get a $200 China turbo ?

Junan - let me make it easier for you if you piece things :

Precision PT-6266 CEA - $1100 shipped
Precision Wastegate - $ 350 shipped
Turbonetics Manifold - $ 650 shipped
SP Quick Spool Valve - $ 575 shipped
Gaskets / bolts / nuts - $ 50 shipped
SP Technical Support - $ PRICELESS
================================
$ 2725 shipped

2jzgte VVTI swap - $2200 shipped
Chrome Greddy knockoff / Chrome Throttle Body - $ 300 shipped
Gaskets / Seals - $ 300 shipped
Rear Sump Pan -$ 250 shipped
VVTi Cams -$ 800 shipped
=================================
$3850 shipped

Total of $6575 and the guy just wanted $3000 . I will guarantee you , as soon as I have sold all the parts I don't need from it , I got my money back and made more and got my FREE SP Quick Spool Valve and FREE Complete VVTi Head for my current project .

You guys stop being cheap ! That is the reason you don't see good deals that are right in front of you ! Right away you say, I can get it cheaper from Ebay. Nothing wrong with parts from ebay but QUALITY WON'T BE SAME. You know that craigslist ad was on our local site for more than a month. I am not saying you buy the most expensive parts , I am just saying get reliable parts . Be wise in building your project . Reliable performance and Cheap cannot go on the same sentence. Exactly the reason why people complain that their high hp performance car is not reliable.. IT is because they go with cheap parts and wanted cheap people who do not know what they are doing to do the work.

Nothing wrong with BW , in fact are very sturdy and reliable turbos. I just find them laggier if you are comparing same wheel sizes. Like a 67mm Precision spools a lot faster than a 67mm BW. I guess it is because they have bigger turbine housings. Which another thing might be a problem with log manifolds. Big turbine housings MIGHT not fit in there. Might be so close to the strut tower so choose the turbo carefully. Make sure that ebay log manifold is clean / free from slugs . Nothing wrong with them either ... just make sure they are not the cause of damage of other components.

He sold his MKIV NA for a really good price before he could have installed this setup. That is why I guess why he didn't mind selling the stuff cheap.

Hopefully the 97 SC300 6speed will be completed faster than I thought .

Huh a spacer ?

Then all the more your turbine or compressor housing will be touching the strut tower with a cast manifold .
