What a perfect sleeper, color and everything! That's a ton of car for what you spent on it.

Indeed a lot of car for $12k . When I was conversing with you on the phone an hour ago I was actually on my way to the DMV , that is why I couldn't send text messages quick . I had to run and register the car after getting it an insurance online. I was afraid with .
so many vehicles , I will change my mind and just part it out . That is not happening now , definitely another SLEEPER in my stable now.

It's new tag with some alphanumerics removed for security or deterence . Yehey , I have another sleeper I can use to fool around with these new and expensive cars . This one is even more old looking with its 1992 body style compared with my other beige sleeper that has the Auto Couture style body kit. Though at the moment that is pushing more power though it won't be long.

.

That is a seriously clean looking SC you picked up from him. I still can't believe he spent so much on it only to let it go so quickly. But... it's one of yours now

It's very unassuming. Few would suspect it's got well over 600hp at the crank. I'm sure you will upgrade the short block. 3.4L perhaps or just make it a rev machine?

The Tremec Magnum with that McLeod twin clutch are such a combination.

This is one to tweak a bit more and just appreciate. It's near perfect as it sits now

And those MKIV TT rims are never a bad look for these cars.

Well , my buddy wanted something else as a project so he decided to let go of this car I guess.

Yeap I will try , even if I am already tempted to install my extra poly-urethane Auto Couture style body kit , to keep it as is and an old looking , unassuming car. I will try to get more power from it though . The transmission / clutch setup is very robust and can handle it. Maybe eventually get a high revving 3.0 gte in there to surpass the +1kwp mark on E85. Am pretty sure I can push it right now to 800rwhp with a stock short block but as you well know me , I am one who always want to do it right the first time and not play with fire.

The TT wheels currently have 275/40R17 and 255/45R17 Toyo R888 tires and will get in the 305/45R17 Mickey Thompson ET Street tires once those Toyo R888 at the back are a goner.

I can't believe how much that cat back exhaust cost, I was expecting titanium or something. That is a seriously nice pick up though, and the interior looks great.

I hear you ... PHR downpipe , mid pipe and dual exhaust was $3300 with shipping . Exactly why when my buddy said , he wants to part out the car I said , we will be throwing a lot of money down the drain so I might as well keep it , leave it as it is and maybe eventually tweak it to my liking.

Hey gerrb, I’ve been searching for many years for the wiring diagrams for the 98+ sc300s with vvti. I’m wiring up my 99 sc to run on the non immobilizer Aristo ECU. I’ve been using your write up you did and I’m having some trouble getting the car to even idle. I was wondering if you had that wiring info for the late model cars and could post or pm it to me and I’ll post it on alisc3’s nat thread. Just need a solid way to check this stuff over. Thank you so much either way you’re thread is freaking sweet! You’re stuff is really inspiring I’ve just about read the whole thing lol. Sorry to ask I’ve been trying so hard to find that damn diagram.

my apologies I’ll go back and re read more carefully. I though the diagrams were only for non vvti 2jz ge and gte. I don’t remember seeing the N/A 2jz ge vvti stuff other than the pin swapping stuff you wrote up on 288 and the body plug info is similar from page 220 something for non vvti ge’s.

This is what 2700rwhp SC Sleeper Power Looks Like plus a 1400+rwhp SC on the works, thanks to Corona Virus Social Distancing.

Now that I have these in my barn , 3 SCs with a combined 2700rwhp horses to pull them for which I thought I had enough of SCs... this social distancing makes me rethink a SC project I previously abandoned. Since we are probably here for the long haul on social distancing , this will allow me to start working again on my Ultimate Sleeper , the 1997 SC300 original 5 speed (sneek peek on last picture) for which I am aiming +1400 horses on the wheels that should top any of the 12 MKIVs or any of the multitude of SCs I have ever owned.

a 6speed VVTi 2jzgte making 1100rwhp

a ATFSpeed built Auto Trans Non VVTi 2jzgte making 1050rwhp

a NAT with preVVTi 2jzGE short block and 2jzGE VVTI head making 600rwhp

Sneek Peek of the Ultimate Sleeper .. a 1997 SC300 original 5 speed aiming for +1400rwhp on a non vvti 2jzgte with 6speed transmission

Absolutely love the herd you've built up! I can't help it, something about the stealthy engine bay on the NA-T. Keep it up Gerry!!

Gerry, I think you should start having 2J or SC fest at your house every summer. It'll be like burning man, but for CL SC guys haha.

Those three SC's keep looking better! The more I see them all the more I understand how you feel-- they each excel at their best differently and uniquely from one another

The Ultimate Sleeper is going to be nuts with 1400whp. At that point you'll be running some super wide rear rubber to keep it under control! Maybe a 335mm set in the rear? The ECU's traction control will surely need to be dialed in at that point. Do you plan on using a TRD 2-way LSD for that car or maybe and OS Giken 2-way or 1.5-Way?

This is definitely the time to dive into all the projects we previously have had little time for! Can't wait to see more of these!

Glad you're staying distanced and safe, Gerry. Same here. At some point it won't be like this but when that will be...? No one knows. The only way out of it is through... and as safely as possible.
