To answer two PMs asking what is the difference between fittings specifically for teflon hose lines and the summit racing fittingsand to help people like me who are newbies. .. let me show it in pictures .
These are both -10 an fittings. The silver is a teflon fitting and the blue one is a summit racing fitting. Teflon fitting has the brass ring which helps hold that stainless braided material thus preventing the line to slip off the fitting

These are both -10 fuel hoses .. you see one is smaller and that is the teflon . And I was able to fit a -8 an summit racing fitting on a -10 an teflon line. It works but I don't trust it on a pressurized line . I have some of them leak. And you might ask why then don't you use -10an summit racing fitting on a -10an teflon line ? It won't fit !!!

the line at the bottom of the picture is -10 an braided rubber hose and the line on top is a -12 an braided teflon hose .. they are almost same diameter... and I was able to fit a -10 an summit racing fitting. It works but again cannot be fully trusted in pressurized line... and makes things very confusing meaning for a -10 an teflon line you need a -8 an summit racing fitting and a -12 an teflon line you need a -10 summit racing fitting.
So the best is , get the right fitting ..

looking at the actual teflon hose and rubber hose inside the steel braided material covering the hose , you will notice that teflon hose material is a lot thinner than the rubber hose... and these are both -10 an hoses.. and this explains fitting sizes confusions when using teflon lines. There is a difference in the way they are measured.. teflon lines are usually measured on their outer diameter while rubber hoses are measured on their inner hole diameter.

Was kind a disappointed that the other teflon fittings I needed didn't arrive today so I can finish plumbing my fuel delivery/return system. I decided to test my big pump which is a backup pump for my Triple Denso so I know how noisy it will be and how fast it will pump a gallon of fuel...
It took 18 seconds to pump the gallon of fuel from one container to the other. I believe it should have pumped more or faster if I had the right fittings. It has -12an inlet and outlet but am using only -10an inlet and outlet fittings. Well, good enough for a pump that may not even be used after all being just a backup that turns on when fuel pressure drops or that turns on with a flip of a switch for any kill mode situation. Well I hope I find the right ECU that can manage such situation.
Double click the picture to hear the pump running . It is not as noisy as a Weldon 2345a on kill mode !
