Since am using an aftermarket oil cooler with the sandwhich plate , I decided to take out the wrap around water pipe that connects to the stock oil cooler where the oil filter is bolted on.
Am installing a water temp sensor on this hole to cover it .... but I don't know if that is a good idea for a water temp sensor on that part of the block for now since I am not sure if it is cooled coolant that came from the radiator that is on that line...
and took out this wrap around water pipe

We usually mount our oil pressure sending units on the body of the car and run a braded line to them. We have seen them break when mounted to the block probably from vibration. Just a thought.

Thanks Mark !
got a quick question for you.. I know you have a 1992 SC400 .. what AC lines from the firewall did you use ? .. one from an SC300 ? the ports that bolts on to the firewall are not of exactly same size with that of the SC400.. how did you get about with those ports on the firewall ? OR did you use a newer model SC400 AC lines ?
That is the thing am trying to figure out before I drop that engine in the car while I got an empty engine bay ..

you can reuse the sc400 line coming out of the firewall, but it has to be SC300 from that connection point all the way over to the 2jz AC compressor.
IIRC they are two big long awkward lines that run all the way from the passenger side frame area over to the compressor.
i used my sc400 lines and just cut the ends off and welded on the sc300 ends so they would bolt onto the sc300 AC compressor (the angles/fittings/etc. are all different over by the compressor between sc300 and sc400)
