To lower down my engine bay temperatures , I am coating and wrapping my exhaust manifold , downpipe and maybe part of the midpipe. Fedex delivered my Dei silicon coating and titanium wrap today. When I get some extra funds, I will order the DEI T4 titanium turbo blanket too when the car is running.... it is freaking expensive, $180 just for the blanket though I have read that DEI is one of the best heat wraps and blankets out there.

Out of curiosity, how did your friend polish that part of the turbo? What grits of sandpaper did he use, and what polish? Thanks.

Silicon coated the exhaust manifold and turbine housing. Will then wrap the manifold with the dei titanium wrap and throw in a dei turbo blanket on the housing.

Ohh. Okay. That sounds about exactly what I'm doing. I have some wheels and used paint stripper on them, and now it's just down to the sand cast aluminum wheel. I've been working with 80 grit to get all of the pits out from the sand cast, but it just takes forever to get it done. What polish does he use? And I go from 80 to 180, 320, 400, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000. Ask him if that is about what he does.

Man that 2JZ looks great man.... I cant wait to see it installed and running. This gives me some incentive to install my aluminum lightweight pullies as you have.. Looks good man.

yeap.. except he starts with 60 or 40 depending on how rough the sand cast is... then all the way up to 2000.. wet and dry .... he said mother's polish i believe.. will verify with him.

thanks Mark .. having felt that +500rwhp power, am sure you will try to go higher soon ... e85 booze is next ... .. get err' drunk with that 105 octane alcohol so it goes faster !!!

Can't wait too to get this thing running... just kinda on a wait and see about the AEM Infinity-10 which handles flex fuel and a lot of new features . Just sold my Haltech PS2000 and ready to grab an AEM v2 or ProEfi...... John Reed Racing I believe is about to roll out 20 units for the 2jzgte .. I hate to get a standalone now for which I will regret in the future if the infinity10 turns out to be a good one so I will give it a bit more time before deciding.

but will try to get the engine in the bay within this weekend hopefully.

Cleaned the inside part of the BL auto tranny bellhousing and installed the torque converter. But first drained totally my TC and poured new oil in it.
Hopefully by the end of the day or in the morning I have this fastened to the engine .

Make sure that TC is all the way in by rotating it clockwise while pushing it inwards .. it will lock in twice till it is all the way in..

gerrb, that coolant temp sensor location is no good.
and did you just clamp the threads of the sensor into the rubber? it's also too far away from the majority of the coolant flow...
