Today was a fruitful day for me , the black mamba 1uzfe is now in great running condition after replacing coil and IACV to resolve hesitation on hills , during acceleration from a stop. Then I did a 60 miles test drive and everything seems good. It purrs like a kitten. So I will keep it running as my run around car till I get its stroker 2jzgte swap built and all parts needed for the swap completed. I wonder being at around 385k miles .. how long more will the engine keep running good.

Back to the red mamba .. map sensor registering well on the AEM ECU which means wiring is good ...So far got 3 sensors for the ECU tested good .. tps , coolant and map .

Got the 95 bumper installed on the Black Mamba project. Car needs to be painted black now. I wonder if it will be better get it painted now so I can use the car while collecting parts / getting engine built for it. I am just afraid it will just have scratches / damages during the swap. Maybe get a cheapo paint job now just to get around with it and doesn't look ridiculuous.

Well getting it painted will be the easier part... doing a 6 speed 3.4 2jzgte swap will take a while ... funds and then parts have to be gathered along the way.

Meanwhile after talking to summitracing for which the bung for my IAT is out of stock and will take three weeks ... I said , forget it , I am tapping the IAT straight on the IC piping since it is thick and huge anyway .

Got that IAT sensor tapped and wiring done ...

Clamped my IC piping to the throttle body

.

Sensors ( IAT, MAP , Coolant , TPS ) are giving me the figures I expected on the AEM computer. Need to connect that Wideband O2 sensor and gauge now. And find out which output pins I can use from the AEM ecu to trigger the two relays for my radiator fans 1 & 2 at different temperatures. Is that possible .. any input ? On the Haltech Platinum 2000 .. it was.. I wonder how it is with this AEM v2. Another learning curve.

Which I knew the answer to that one. I dont see why not??? Have you considered trying to get the new V3 software?

Thanks buddy .. got it . I am configuring LS2 (pin 72) to control the first Radiator fan at 100F and LS12 (pin71) to control the second Radiator fan at 190F .

The new firmware for the AEM v2 is still on beta version supplied to the tuners... so it is not for public consumption yet. Well if I decide to keep this AEM v2 , I will get it tuned once the updated firmware is out. It is nice to have Proefi and Haltech on my supras and now an AEM v2 on this SC . Gives me the opportunity to be able to play around with the different ECUs.

Just a little bit more , I will fire this baby . My sensors are registering the right figures so far for the ECU. Today disconnecting the coils and injectors , cranked it a couple of times just to get the oil flowing into my coolers.

Well, it is hard playing around with a beta version. You become a guinea pig. If there are problems , you will suffer the consequences. I will rather wait for the official release at least they should take responsibility of problems if they release something officially.

It doesn't seem to be hard going around the AEM software .. With PROEFI , just a lot of things to learn ... here I am setting up the radiator fans to use LS2 and LS12 at certain temperatures .. 100F and 180F

Today , even if I know I still have to do some stuff on the red mamba like IACV braided lines and other stuff , I wanted to start the car with the AEM v2... and hear it run with this ecu. I know this sucker started three months ago with my PROEFI ecu .. now that I have repinned things to take care of AEM requirements ..I decided to try first the AEM TT cal and adjusted through the wizard the size of injectors and the kind of AIT and MAP sensors I had.

As you can see below the , the sensors input to the ECU are all good... BUT FREAKING CAR WOULD NOT START WITH THE AEM . BUT CAR STARTS WITH THE ARISTO auto ECU . I am alone so I could only take a video while inside the car cause I couldn't leave the accelerator .. it dies .

weird !!! need help on this freaking AEM v2

A) My injectors Siemens 2433cc are low impedance... isn't the 30-6100 have peak and hold ? I feel like when I start the car with the AEM there is no fuel being fed on the engine ...

B) Or do I need to do some settings , enabling the peak and hold on the AEM ?

C) When I used the ARISTO ecu , freaking car fired up first try / crank..... isn't the aristo for high impedance injectors ? why the hell did the car run if I have low impedance injectors ? Check the video link below ...car runs with aristo ecu . By the very fact that the car runs with aristo .. am sure there is nothing wrong with the wiring ...

these pictures show that my sensors are giving the right data to the AEM ECU so I figured it should start with the AEM but no go !!!

hehehehe .. since I was alone , I wanted to make sure the fire extinguishers were ready if ever I started a fire when I started the car ... lmaol.. I am glad.. everything was good.

CLICK ON THE LINK below to hear the engine and see the AEM wideband with the Aristo ECU .. I will take a video of the engine bay with the engine running once I have someone around with me.

http://s1010.photobucket.com/user/ge...6dcbf.mp4.html

Shouldn't the A/F ratio be very rich with my 2433cc injectors? ... original aristo 2jzgte were only 440cc ...Why is the wideband not saying so ?

Here you go .. I was able to get a video on the startup with Aristo ECU .. it always start up at first crank / try. Need to find out why the hell the car won't start with the AEM v2.

More videos ... this thing is driving me nuts wondering why it idles so good with an Aristo ECU when I thought the aristo only supports high impedance injectors.. mine are low impedance 2433cc and A/F doesn't show very rich mixtures at 13.5 ... Any ideas if I need to set the peak and hold settings on the AEM ? My injectors are not opening to squirt fuel into the engine with the AEM v2. Damn , this makes me want to throw back in the ProEFI I have from the supra. I never had problems starting the car with it.

links of videos : Those 272 cams sound so sweet even with the Aristo ECU .

Oh yeah ... .. got it running with the AEM v2 . It was a start / warm up enrichment problem. I kept on cranking it and there was a point in time it wanted to start but at the same time would trip my circuit breaker due to the constant cranking / too much amperage so I knew it was an enrichment problem.

As soon as I modified the startup and warm up enrichment ... BAMMM .... it fired ..

It is very rich .. need to work on the fuel map . It idles at 800-900rpm with the 272 cams but I know I can lower it down.

Congratulation man. I am so glad you got it running on the AEM V2. I know you had a smile on your face as big as GA. LOL
