In case ya didn't dump $23 on it yet, it's basically just a small tiny hole that acts as a flow limiter. MAP sensor reads just fine without it. Arguably, without it the MAP sensor would be more responsive to pressure changes but I can't say its ever been relevant for tuning. I have one on my desk if you need it. I have a new manifold for my 1JZ so I can't use it.
