Default ptplujo's mini build

Hello all,

Got my 95 white sc300 in early February and have loved it so far. Always been a fan of the mkiv supra and when I found out the sc300 came with the same amazing engine, I was excited to get it. I got it as a hand me down and it has been kept running decently.

I use this car as a daily driver now and have given up my other car to my wife (08 lancer) so that she can have something reliable to drive around while I took the sc300 so in case it breaks down or anything, I knew what to do.

I have a few plans thought out from reading and looking at the forum here and hopefully this will be a decent build. I'm not into the vip/luxorious look so hopefully I can have something unique as I see a lot of the sc's here are slammed with chrome wheels.

So far, I've:
- got all my lights interior and exterior fixed and working except for the dreaded lcd.
- buffed and fixed fogging and water damaged headlights.
- installed a double din head unit.
- replaced valve cover gaskets.
- replaced o-ring.
- replaced spark plugs and wirings.
- replaced other gaskets on the egine. (head, etc)

To do:
- get espelir springs.
- put on enkei rct4 white wheels.
- bfi intake mod.
- engine/trans mounts.
- yellow h3 fogs.
- leather seat re-do or covers.
- vertex replica lip kit.
- na-t

Well, recently, bought a double din and was not able to use the cup holder or volume **** anymore so it annoyed me to have two useless parts. I finally took it off and shaved it off and repaint it black.

I plan to redo my whole interior with swap/paint to a tan/black combo as I really want to go all black; but may be too big of a task.

Anyways, let me know what you guys think. Installed pictures later or tomorrow. My original interior is brown/tan.

One question, does anyone know how to dye/paint the ***** and lettering without covering it up so it will still light up?

That shave job actually looks quite good after the coat of paint

Can you tell a little bit about what you used / your process? Is it just normal auto bog?

It does look great. Most people who do this complain of the bondo or whatever they use sink in after awhile. I hope yours doesnt. It looks good. Why didnt you do a diy? :-)

I still use my cup holder, for a ipod holder or cell or a 12 oz can of diet pepsi... :-)

Thanks for the C&C.

I noticed that Jenga pieces fit almost perfectly into the cup holder slot and I gave up three pieces for it. I shouldn't have any problems with it collapsing; hopefully, because I used a combination of jenga pieces, plastic welding, and putty/kwik plastic.

It came out almost oem and I'm happy with it. I don't know if you guys noticed but for my brown shift ****, I just ripped the leather off and noticed a rubberized grip underneath it. I sprayed some vinyl/fabric paint on it and it created a slight sheen and shine to it that prevents dust from sticking to the rubber. It saved me a trip to the junk yard or buying redoing my ****.

Everything else I just sanded down w/ 250/400/800 grit and painted it over. I've had some experience with vinyl/fabric paint on plastic before so I knew they would come out pretty good even without primer/adhesion promoter on the pastic.

Here are a couple more pics.

I deleted the cup holder because it's no longer usable for me. I have a tilt double din and it sticks out about 1/2 inch from the bezel and the cup holder can not flip down anymore.

And does anyone know how to dye or spray the ***** without covering the lettering?
Or anyone have extra black volume **** and lettering, pluz hazard switch?

For the ****, the white plastic can be separated from the **** itself, as for the lettering and the hazard button, idk.
