west's ucf20 build
ok so ive had this car for almost 2 months now and decided i should start a build thread.
its a black on black 96 ls400
i wish i had pics of it when i first got it, but i took it straight to my buddy to have it painted solid black. I was no a fan of the black and grey 2 tone, we still need to color sand and buff.
so heres some pics from the first day i got it back from paint, about a week after buying it
i couldnt stand driving around with the fishbowl look so the next day i went off and tinted the windows, that same day i installed a hid kit but i have no pics of them.
ive had my subs sitting aroudn the house but was too lazy to install them up until last wednesday. pulled out the stock 8 and swapped in my 2 15" boston subs. i wired it all up to the stock head unit. with the 8" sub out the hole made a perfect port it sounds great to me
on thursday i finally picked up my megan ez street coilovers and installed them on friday
i started with the rear, i was so excited that i only took a pic of the stock shock and spring removed lol
hes a pic of the fronts installed and also one before i adjusted the ride height (if ionly i was able to have the car fully slammed and driveable at that height, but near impossible hahaha)
and this is how she sits as of yesterday. i will keep updating as i slowly upgrade, ive got big dreams for this car!

Can't wait to get going on my project. Taking care of the basic stuff first. Timing belt, water pump, etc!!! I want to get my windows retinted. Want to go darker, and get the rear window tinted. Think the previous owner did 50% front, 35% rear.
I usually don't like the way stock LS400's look lowered on stock wheels. But your car makes it look good!

I still like those wheels among the OEM offerings. Some 15mm spacers front and 25mm rear would be nice to my eyes.
Do you have a beam shot of the HID's?
