I need to get around to doing that! I took mine off one day to see if there was any in there, but basically a rats nest fell out! Did you put any special scent on your filters to make your car smell good?

Same thing on mine. When I first took it off, rat isht fell out. When I first got my SC, there was a rats nest in the engine bay if you know that spot between the bumper and the radiator. The air filter is pretty hardcore compared to the intake air filter. It pretty much did the trick. Right after installing it, I noticed the smell was gone.

Weird how I missed this thread until now. Or maybe I wasn't paying attention LOL

Car looked good @ the lake during the holiday weekend

Come to think of it I've been wanting to do a complete "start to now" thread on my car too... maybe. Maybe tomorrow. Or next week. LOL

If the previous owner didn't put any, definitely you'd need to do that. Especially if it smells funky! Lol

You need to raine! You're the one who got me started into this! You inspired me! I remember when I just got my SC, whenever I'd search google all I'd find was either your website, or your old DIY threads here in CL! And that's why I joined CL! That's how I found out that CL is the motherland of SC DIY's!

OEM. Get the prices from Sewell Lexus so you can demand those prices at your local Toyota/Lexus dealerships.

Default RSX Front Leather Seats

I almost installed these 2 months ago... But found an opportunity to sell for a profit! Doubled up!

I didn't really like the kind of leather though, compared to the OEM SC seats, it felt really tacky and cheap leather, like what everybody else said in the past...

It was real clean though, like brand new. Well, the previous owner, my buddy, bought his RSX brand new in '04 while he was on a break from deployment, then never really got to drive it until he got back in '07, but then he decided to make it a track car and stripped out every piece of interior from the car, and sold it to me recently cause he hates using the internet and can't find a buyer..

My sc also did NOT come w/ a cabin air filter. I went the extra mile and removed teh entire glovebox assembly and I lysol'd everything back there, something I def recommend if y'all have the time or still have a moldy smell

My car hasn't ever had any weird smells. But I need to check anyway. Lots of dust here in Vegas.

Default Purolator Pure One Oil Filter (PL20195)

Haven't really made any progress with my SC lately, because I'm broke since father's day...

Anyways, I put in new tint, in preparation for summer, I've been racking up the miles on my SC also as we're enjoying summer and traveling to a lot of places lately. I'm due for a smog in a month, so in preparation for that as well I did an oil change and coolant flush, I'm doing a differential gear oil flush too next time I have time on my hands.

As usual, my SC is giving me problems, so to anybody who can help me out, please take a look at my other threads where I need help and answers before I start spending on this again;
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...rpm-sc400.html
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...w-problem.html

Thanks in advance to whoever can help me with those problems I'm having at this moment.

Now, my buddy chargerfan, did the research for this I'm just spreading the word as this can make a big difference for our 12-20 year old engines. He's a Purolator Pure One fanatic so he researched everything to make it work. The regular part number for SC400 oil filter is PL10241/L10241 which is short, and the regular sized oil filter. The PL20195 which is for an LX, on the other hand is longer, which means there's more oil filtered per pass (like I said, chargerfan already did the research including oil tests and he wouldn't recommend this if it wouldn't do any good or at the least, difference). So here you go peeps, I know a lot of people in the past have said it would work, but no pics for the SC400's.

For comparison;

Best part is, it matches my SC's body color!
