I don't think it's anodized, unless stainless steel can be anodized? The paint looks anodized, but too shiny, and it flakes. I used stripsol to remove it.

My bad I thought those were aluminum... which can stripped of their finish in seconds with a spray of Easy-Off oven cleaner.

Yeah, the stripsol stripped the paint on contact, but kinda stained the stainless steel where the paint has been scratched off already. No problem though cause I'm changing the lugs when I change wheels. :/

Also found a '92-'94 SC300 this morning at a parking lot... Took pics just because it's fun to see how low my SC was beside it! I've been wanting to do this ever since I went low! Lol

Reminded me I need to clean my SC up... I haven't cleaned it in more than a month now, lol... There's a lot of SC's still running in the streets of San Diego, but you rarely see one that's been tricked out properly...

I literally just received the rebuild parts for my LS brake caliper in the mail today! Got them from Sewell Lexus around the same price as buying aftermarket kits... All I really need now is my LS brake calipers!

Rebuild kit(It even comes with a small grease pack and crush gaskets for the brake line, anyone know if I can use those for my SS brake lines? Or should I just buy the copper one?), LS brake caliper bolts(So I don't have to use spacers or cut my SC400 bolts shorter) & bleeder caps(Gotta keep the dirt out!)...

The LS brake calipers I got from the junkyard had decent pads left on them, although they were filthy when I got it, all cleaned up now!

'Til I receive my brake calipers from polishing! Peace!

Default Old School Amber Lights

I've been contemplating on doing this mod for quite sometime now. Me and raine talked about it when I did his rack and pinion and bushings, and finally I got convinced in doing this. We talked about how our corner lights make the car look narrow at night because of the absence of the "old school ambers", which I really think our SC's was designed with due to having a signal light bulb size 1157, which is dual intensity.

Despite having a stab wound on my left palm from a freaking scissors, I still managed to do this mod today. Still not sure if wifey did it on purpose or by accident.... J/k Lol

Took me some time to figure out how to wire it properly. I really don't like the idea of cutting OEM wires if not necessary, so I didn't like the buying a new socket route. Until it hit me, I bought JDM sidemarker lights that came with the socket and the wires, which I didn't even use. So I took out carefully the wires with the terminals(and the grommet to keep it waterproof), to use it instead.

And this is how it looks like out of the socket.

And the terminal, which is the exact reason I did it this way.

Looky, looky, what do we have here?! Just as I expected, there's an extra place for a terminal, confirming my thoughts on it....

Remove the plug so you can insert the wire with the terminal. Make sure you put it in the same way the other terminals are facing.

I decided to tap the wire to the park/city lights, so it would light up soon as I turn on my park lights.

The green wire is the -(negative), so make sure that it's where you tap into to make it light up. I soldered it to make sure it would not come off easily.

Make sure to test it before putting everything back together.

I wrapped the wires with electrical tape for protection and insulation and to look clean.

Testing.

And an *** shot to complete my day.

Posted at a different thread, I haven't washed my SC in almost a couple of months due to hot weather and sudden rain falls here in SD, and decided to get a carwash the other day so I can snap a few shots with my new iPhone5! Lol

Click on the small pics to view the vid. Enjoy!

You need a hotter soldering iron, that solder blob is big!

...and $10 says she did it on purpose. JUST KIDDING haha

EDIT: So they come on with parking lights on, and stay on with headlamps on?

I did it on purpose, 'cause I just cut the insulation of the wire then wrapped the other wire around it.

I'm pretty sure she did it on purpose, half an inch of the scissors went in and stayed in until I pulled it out! Lol

Yup, it comes on with the parking lights, and stays on with the headlamps. I wanted the original park lights to come on with the headlights, but I wasn't too sure if it's a good idea to tap it in with the headlight wire...

Thanks bro! I know it's weird, but I don't really like the look of having a lip but no body kit... I'd rather wait until I can afford a body kit... I don't even like the look of window visors on cars, only SUV's and trucks. I know I'm weird, lol!

QUESTION to all: Is it gonna be overkill if I add a park light on the high beams like this?
