Default 2JZGE Turbo Build

I found a turbo "kit" online, I don't really want to just get a kit and change it over night..but i want to build it, I'm thinking this is a pretty good list, and good place to start.

what on this list is actually important to have.. what do i actually need for a turbo build. Obviously they have marked this up, that is way to much money. It would probably be cheaper to buy everything separate.

give me your 2 cents

$6k is ridiculous. Ive been looking for turbo kits as well for my is300. In another thread, some guy posted a company called Driftmotion n they have a kit for $1450, but u need still injectors and manifold i believe, just not sire of the quality. Maybe someone else can chime in and give advice.

I spent well less than $6000 and I built the motor in my car as well...

I'll try and compile a list of things and where I got them from along with a rough estimate... I would say I probably spent $3000, give or take, sourced some stuff used, some stuff ebay, some stuff from vendors, and some stuff from parts places locally, as well as a junk yard...

True, but remember, eBay doesn't make the product, they just sell it. I've bought a lot of legit stuff off ebay, lots of parts from hks megan racing, from their ebay account.

Oh yeah i understand that, but i think theres just the same amount of scammers and fake parts on there. Key is to know where your buying from and what your exactly buying

I could give a crap about brand name, all I care about is how well it performs...

in my case, even on 4 psi, breaking in the new motor (200 miles so far), she is significantly faster than before, and I see no reason why when broken in and tuned she won't put down 400+ at the wheels...
