500 is plenty. It all depends when the boost comes in and where you like for it too. I built mine for a highway killer, but it will still spin the tires when I dump the clutch. You need to ask yourself will 500 be enough, then 600, then 800, then 1100... Thats the best question to ask yourself. IMO.. I think anything much more, you will get into reliability if driven daily. GL.

I wouldn't do Ethanol with those injectors. Get atleast some EV14 1000cc, fic, ID, or FiveO motorpsorts ones.

Get some lines, and SS mesh filter 25-40 micron, inline before the rail.

Get some decent tires (R888) and you will not have any problem hooking up i promise you!!

i hope its not a death rattle. but it sure sounds like it. i only put 2600 miles on this motor. ugh! i really wanted to get up to 500 and 600hp land.

now if it is infact a spun or about to be spun bearing. im just gonna go 2jz bottom. and shoot for 600+. least i have the turbo for it.

well i scored a GE short block for 200 bucks.

the price of pistons and rods seems super expensive. maybe i'll just look for a set of pistons. since i'll never go bonkers with my horsepower goal.

stay tuned in the coming months. i wont be updating daily.

stronger internals. im really focusing mainly on the pistons. i believe the factory rods are strong enough for my power goals anyway.

^^ Funny thing is the weakest link on 2jzgte or ge are the Rods not the pistons , stock pistons have made 1200whp just with Carrilo rods, or whatever rods are rated for 1200-1500whp.

if you are not gonna make over 700wtq and beat on your car daily at full tilt (kill mode) it's not worth it if you want an honest answer.

Pistons will take whatever hp and TQ , rods will take the banana shape at over 700wtq for a long period of time.

So with that turbo, all i would do is get a ge block and slap a TT hg, ARp studs on it and extend that pipe that goes between the water pump and the upper water neck and you are golden.

Im shooting for 600 this time. I got a lead of a 2jz vvti for a good price. Going to part out this engine except turbo, wastegate, throttle body and electronics. Going to sell everything else. The manifold I just bought, cams, head, block, intake and etc.

When is enough power truly enough? I am very pleased with mine until I drove Jays fully built rocket. It took me about two days to get over that my 1JZ wasn't as strong as his. LOL, but in the end, I could put all my power to the ground. Jays would just blow the tires off in any gear. Plain useless.

Maybe I missed it, but have you done any suspension, rear end, and brakes upgrade?
