Nope I haven't. Going to get a sniffer to see if its a head gasket issue. If its not the head gasket I'm thinking its a clogged radiator. I asked the previous owner and he put leak stop in it because the heater control valve was leaking. If the head gasket is good I wanna keep the stock compression and run with aem ems with e85. Hopefully the motor will hold with 15lbs of boost on a s366. See what kind of power that will
Yield me. I'm don't really want to pull the head off yet to go with Tt hg yet.

In the process of figuring out whats wrong with my car I checked to see if my headgasket was good and its all ready for some boost, but I will probably enjoy the car in stock form. I have some family things I need to take care of before I can turbo my sc.

Got some mesh wheels that were supposedly a dealer option for the sc back in the day. Well come to find out they are 16 inch 3 piece wheels. Only bad thing is they don't have center caps.

I acquired at 96 manual sc300 Ecu and hopefully I have all of the pins that need to be moved around correct. Will let you guys know after I install the Ecu. Hopefully I won't have a check engine light anymore. Crossing my fingers.

Wish I knew as much about cars as you do so I could turbo my car DIY style lol I want to go the NA-T route myself, but stay automatic. Interesting stuff to read though. Im right outside of Dallas. Looking foward to seeing the finishing results. Goodluck bro.

P.S: Paint that thing onyx!

No way am I painting the car a different color. I would have to rip the whole car apart paint the trunk engine door jams etc. I would rather just get a different car. The sc will be my daily for a bit while I rather up parts. You won't get knowledgable unless you work on your car yourself and do the research. This forums has immense amount of knowledgable people. I consider myself a newbie compared to the other guys on Clublexus.

Gixxer drew suspension on the way. Used Bilstein HD shocks with new springs and sleeves. Total price 650. Not bad for a good coilover setup. The one thing i like about it is that i can rebuild/replace any blown shock at home without shipping them out.

Installed new radiator and hoses.

thermostat still won't open. Will change that out again. I probably got a defected one.

Also got a OBD 2 TT ecu. still need coilpacks and igniter before i try to install it. This is probably be a difficult challenge

Finally got the car running. It turns out that the thermostat that I got wasn't the right one and it hit the back housing causing the thermostat not to open. Anyways she runs great. Pretty happy with everything. Going to polish the TT wheels sometime soon and take it to body shop to get the front and back bumpers painted. Still have to change out the driver seat that is sitting in my garage. I was thinking of picking up another sc300 motor to turbocharge since this one has a lot of miles on it. 215k miles to be exact. My Gixxer drew setup should be here tomorrow and hopefully install that soon as well.
