What made you put the gauges in the woodgrain versus buying a a pillar post? Just curious, looks really good man.
Not more air but flows better if you ask me. the only problem is replacing the spark plugs is pita and if the turbo is too big the tb won't fit over top.
The a/market manifold and tb can pull more air but there are pros and cons one both setups imo.

i like the gauges right there, Cherplex's had it on his car at the same location! i hate pillar pod lol.

servicing the plugs and injectors are easier. I wanted a cleaner look so i can go with the TT valve covers. Intercooler piping are going to be much shorter now so better throttle response.

Im not a fan of the pillar post.. Ill leave the pillar post for the honda guys they love that..

Ye I think its a great spot for some gauges... Lol im also not a fan of pillar pods ill leave that to honda guys.. It looks much cleaner with a ffim and i bet throttle response is going to be better since intercooler piping is going to be much shorter

Yes i have two o2 sensors installed one is an AEM wideband for the AEM A/F gauge and the other is for the engine management because im running a 1994 TT gte mkiv ecu which uses a 4 wire heated o2 sensor which is why i installed it

as you guys know the FFIM doesnt come tapped for vacuum/pressure ports but the wall is thick enough to be tapped.. Used a 3/8 tap and die and screwed in some 3/8 anodized vacuum fittings

Man, it is coming along. Looks great on the polishing job on the reservoir. That is the first time I have seen it located there by the battery.
