thanks guys...

I took my car for an oil change and the mechanic said the dip stick for my transmission has a burning smell meaning it needs a rebuild.

Not sure what I should do now, either stick with the na-t plan and get a rebuild/ new transmission(auto/ w58/ r154)

Or go with an aristo gte swap with the auto. I'm not very knowledgeable at all with the gte and was wondering which makes more sense and more cost efficient.

I was planning on spending roughly $4,500 on the na-t. Can the gte be done in this price range?

That doesnt necessarily mean you need a rebuild. Does your transmission shift fine and function normally? If so, just change the fluid/filter.

would never tell a customer that, im a professional mechanic.

If youre not going for high hp yet... stick with the auto for now. Invest your money in other stuff.

It doesn't shift properly. It kickbacks and I have to let go of the gas to shift or it will take awhile.

I'm just gonna do a flush and change the filter and see what happens.

Why hello gentlemen, it's been awhile.

Changed my rear rotors and pads.

I didn't change the front because I'm not sure if I'm going to upgrade to the LS400 BBK

Changed my transmission fluid.
It drives a lot smoother now.

My car was too low to fit on their lifts so they had to lift it half way.

I have no idea how other people drive their cars so low, I feel like I'm not even that low compared to other people.

^^ yeah but I'm still deciding, I haven't gotten many offers that I'm interested in.

It's either I keep this and do the whole NA-T or get the new Evo GR-S
