Quick update: Gauges came in, but PLX didnt mention i need an 8v converter to run their boost module with their new DM-6 gauge...
minor setback while i wait for that small wiring piece to come in now. Wideband just needs the sensor welded in and the rest is wired and ready. Dyno runs still to follow after i get the gauges put in.
Side note: Did a quick run from ~40-100 against my gf's IS350 (F-sport intake, custom true dual HKS exhaust) and have to say we were pretty evenly matched!![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Simply because I'm not trying to race/auto cross/etc. I'd also rather have continuous added power instead of only when a button is pressed/throttle depressed to a certain point. Supercharger whine and BOV sound good also
Yourself and I may be approaching performance from two sides of the fence. I just wanted the show aspect of having a supercharger setup and the additional daily power, from your statement Id assume youre more interested in time slips from a track, but I may be wrong. Both good options though depending on what you want! A friend ran nitrous on his is250 for a while and loved it.

Anyways, I would be interested in some dyno # and time slips.
Found this pretty sick supercharged IS250.

Update since I'm posting... PLX 8v converter was lost by USPS last week...

So would putting a 350 engine into a 250 engine be more feasible when considering power, cost, and labor?
I've thought about supercharging but after seeing someone put an isf engine into their 250, i thought about the possibility of swapping a 350 engine..

And you'd want to have an 09+ 250 so it has VDIM (as the 350 did, and the ECUs would likely expect)
I'd be surprised if it's not cheaper to just trade your 250 for a 350 though, unless you get a good deal on the parts and can do all your own labor easily.

How is this possible? That supercharger giving you 120hp to make up the difference or she was taking it easy on you?

Headers, full exhuast, 7psi = ~300hp at the crank (my GUESS, and very liberal at that, so dont flame that). Her IS350 with f-sport intake and custom exhaust is 315-330 at the crank i am assuming (again, an assumption). My power band with boost is very likely to be shaped different than a N/A is350. That would be my only answer for you, that her max whp is higher, but my power band may close the gap at the speeds/RPM's we were at.
There's nothing to gain from me lying, if youre assuming that. The is250 is slow, we all know that, and we all know that boosting gives a marginal gain of ~40-70whp. Again, sorry for a delay with the dyno runs.
