Last week I received a small order from JP in the mail which consisted of a set of new OEM black items needed for completing my black stereo surround swap. I picked the surround up used from JP in tidy condition, it came complete minus the flip-up cup holder hence the new one added to the order. However I took a gamble with the gear shifter assuming that for it's steep price that it came complete, as you can see I was completely wrong. So I have another order being processed at the moment for the rest of the plastics & O/D switch which should be arriving in a couple of weeks once Toyota JP is back from I'm assuming the Obon Summer Holiday. So in the meantime I'll just have to deal with the brown shifter as I couldn't resist fitting everything already.

It worked out much easier to buy everything new & save the long impatient wait to find a black interior being stripped locally & individually as most wish to sell as a whole. Nonetheless, there's no denying the beauty of new OEM parts!

Photos to follow shortly of the lot fitted.

Also picked up my series 2 front bar from paint, looks to be a good colour match to my unoriginal paintwork (small variation from 051) it'll be going on by the weeks end to replace the series 1 bumper & lip currently fitted. I opted to go badgeless & without the lip for a clean look front end & personally my favorite.

I'm planning on retaining the older style front & the rear spoiler while having the '97 side skirts (already fitted) & rear bumper to complete. Which is due to arrive by container the first or second week of September. Whether I stick to this plan or not time will tell, I'll know once everything is on the car.

Very very clean! Thanks for the closure! Do you have a current Soarer build thread already?

Thanks! It was quite clean for it's age. I haven't started a build thread on the new one yet, it's an all original car, so there won't be too much happening with it other than some TLC & a few minor mods. But I say that now..
