Jos's '93 SC300 Build Thread - Ongoing.
THE ORIGINAL SC
This was the beginning. I found this SC on Craigslist quite locally and decided that I was going to trade my brothers 97 Avenger for it. It was in the worst condition I have ever seen a car. The interior was trashed, door panels not attached, the radio didn’t work, the idiot had attached speaker to rear panels and completely messed up the exterior. Dents and dings and scratches everywhere. Paint was trashed. The only thing really going for it was the fact the motor had 60 some thousand on it from a GS300.
I took it anyway. What can I say? I like a challenge.
Anyway, this is what I did…
Then I sold it.
THE NEW SC
I was searching one day on Craigslist for fun and found my current SC. I talked to the owner, asked every question I could think of. After a few days of going back and forth I realized that I was not going to find an SC this clean and well maintained. I jumped at this chance and drove six hours to Saint Louis in my bro’s MX6. Drove back in my new SC. It was so mint! Absolutely busted a nut when I saw it!
Got it home and did nothing but clean it and look at it for a few weeks. Then the bug got me...
As I got her...
As time, money and weather allows she's moving along:
First thing was to go from the worn out achilles tires to the new Falken Ziex ZE 512 in the front /912's in the rear!
This is my intake modification. Filter sits in the right hand pocket of the bumper.
Got my double din installed. Props to Raine, thanks very much for your threads on installation. Made it a breeze! I have plans to change out this unit to a Pioneer one as I don't really like it. I already had a boss one and changed it for this. Lol! I'm picky with the stuff as I know many of you guys are aswell.
HID's and pretty clean in the car wash :
Also bought these off Ebay, came black and I decided to paint them. I did that tonight and hopefully this weekend I'm gonna crystal clear enamel them.
Oh and I forgot to mention the previous owner removed the stock mufflers, so I decided (and thanks alot to MDSC for this) to use these tips and sorta kinda replicate the Mega look, yet I do not want any mufflers as the sound and the tone are fantastic, it just drones alot with the flanges aiming all the exhaust vibration right down the frame.
Just for size reference, no I dont have small hands haha! These are 4.5" outlet tips:
So for now that's it.. I have lots of plans but gotta get time and funds to get them done.
Gimme a couple of weeks and the exhaust and LS400 BBK will be done.
Thank you to all of ClubLexus for the help you guys have given me! And thank you for what is to come!
Let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas for me. Experience is key haha!
Thanks guys!

So a little update
I just ordered the LS400 rotors, getting the rear SC rotors turned the day the kit goes on.
Also have stainless steel brake lines on the way.
CAR AUDIO
Does anybody have any experience with rattle trap? I was just wondering because I'm planning on upgrading the entire sound system and rewiring and while I have the interior out I want to stop alot of rattles and cut down the road noise.
Does anybody have any experience with any of these sound deadening/ rattle reducing products?

Oh what a Night!
This afternoon, spur of the moment kinda thing the girlfriend and I went and got my exhaust set up
Went to Olive Garden, came back and washed, waxed and polished the car
This is what she looks like now.... Please excuse the crappy cell phone pics. I'll be taking some more tomorrow with an actual camera.
