My 1997 SC400
I flew to Jacksonville Florida last week and picked up my latest Lexus. Formerly owned by a retired Navy Capt. and garage kept for the last 13 years. I just got home yesterday so just have a few pics from the drive home.
Had to stop in Mobile for a photo op in respect to the former owner. Those are pole reflections in the bumper, not blemishes.
I then drove up to northern Alabama to visit my friend Jay aka Suprahero and take a few pics of our cars. I should probably consider lowering mine just a little haha.

Today it is getting a Texas registration and window tint.
Things that need attention are:
It needs speakers
Replace the antenna mast, which one is already on the way.
The gear shifter bushing are gone, pretty typical of most nowadays but it drives me nuts having a wobbly shifter. It's a $3.00 fix but about 2 hours of labor!
Could probably use some brake pads.
That's all I can think of right now.
It rolled 100k miles on the way home. Timing belt, seals, hoses, rotors, caps, wires and plugs have all been replaced. Oil pan resealed a few years ago.

Man, why am I the only one that has to spray my interior with SEM, to get a complete black one?
I cant be this lucky to find just a jewel likes this. It is real clean. i wish I had it.
Why did the officer get rid of it?
Awesome pictures. Jay is a great guy. I am trying to get him to let me do his interior to black.

And yes, Jay is a great guy. I bought my 89 Supra from him and I still like him! LOL
Before he bought that red beauty I told him about your thread and gave him your name from the box you sent that fuel pump to me in, haha. Him and his lovely wife Vonda are very good people.
My bad Mark. You should probably move this.

Thanks! I'm very proud of it. I received several compliments while at rest stops along the way back home.
Now it resides in Bama. I LOVE that car.

So I've added to the list of things to do with my car. First of all I did get the windows tinted. It looks great. I bought some new shifter bushings but have not installed them yet. I just really dread pulling that entire console to get to them. Also, I fixed the antenna with a new mast and it goes up and down like it should. It's the little things you know!
I ordered 4 Polk db401 speakers for it. They should be here in about a week.
From searching around the forum I've pretty much decided that the motor and tranny mounts are bad so will need to replace them. Then engine just feels rough at start up and I keep hearing and feeling clunks under the console when I left off the gas or accelerate.
I already have some Supra TT springs laying around in my garage. I will put them to use as well as soon as I can afford to buy some Supra shocks and mounts.
I plan on buying some yet to be determined axle back exhausts. I want to hear a meaty V8 sound.
Hopefully I'll have time here soon to get some better pics of it to post.

What a nice ride man. I think once the lowering springs are installed, it will actually make those rims look better. Not saying they are bad now, but better once it is lowered.
