My Aristo Single Turbo Project

Yeah, trans is still mostly OK, holding power fine in gear, but is slipping on full throttle redline shifts (fine the rest of the time) - to be honest I could probably just sort it with some valve body mods to quicken shift reducing slip, but am going to build it properly with valve body mods for quicker shifts - less slip between changes, better/more clutches and steels where required, and seriously considering getting a billet intermediate sprag for the 1-2 shift so I don't need to worry about rolling it.

Well at least we now have confirmation on actual power tranny could possibly fail at! But yea good luck building it! Hope things work out! I am anxious to see how mug power my Titan tranny can hold!

i was going to bump your build thread the other day.. Any updates Handover?

Throttle conversion complete, no more drive by wire, throttle response has definitely improved a lot, and the pedal actually has feel to it now. Also have some transmission parts on the way as getting a bit of slip on full boost, getting the valve body nodded for quicker/firmer shifts, uprated friction material and additional clutch packs, also getting the torque converter stall speed increased slightly to 2500 or so.

Your car looks great ! How is the response on the GTX 35? I am running the T78-33D but its on the laggy side considering a change to a GTX similar to yours .

Up to date mod list - getting quite long now, sent the same thing to the insurance company (minus the power figures ) they were fine with it!!

Trans parts should be arriving this week - getting valve body re-programmed for quicker shifts to eliminate slip and more line pressure for better clamping, Kolene steels, and replacing clutches with Raybestos Blues (and adding more plates where possible), getting uprated Borg-Warner intermediate sprag (thought about getting the ATF billet one, but couldn't really justify the cost in the end)
Should be easily able to withstand whatever I throw at it after this - as is, it is fine in gear, just sloppy on WOT redline shifts - slips, bounces off limiter and then lazily shifts into next gear. Will definitely be cool having snappier shifts as well.

Update time - trans has been stripped down and new bits are being added.
Was some weird ****** residing in there - a couple of bolts in the pan that were not part of the transmission, and the old frictions and steels had definitely seen better days!!
Trans fully disassembled and cleaned:
