After nearly 2 years at 350rwhp... its time for a change.
Here is my previous build thread... all work done by me.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...the-works.html
My goal this time around is streetable and reliable 5-600rwhp (altho not a hardfast goal)
So far, ive purchased...
FFIM (thanks Omar)
LQ9 coils (omar again)
All the bits to make that swap possible
4 inch exhaust
4 inch DP
ARP headstuds
some random pulleys and things (stock crank pulley just started going bad)
Going to stay with the majority of the rest of the hard parts I have as they are still functioning perfectly. (will be buying a Tial WG however)
Still trying to decide what HG to get.
Still trying to figure out what trans to go with... I am staying auto this time around, TT auto or BL built auto
Still trying to figure out what EMS to go with... TT ecu and some type fo good piggyback, or AEM... one is likely dependent on the other
Need to decide on a diff setup too
Feel free to comment on ideas, questions and what not... if you have any of the stuff I may be looking for, feel free to hit me up.
I WILL SAY THIS... save your drama about my previous build and my parts. I dont wanna hear it. I havent had any issues and I have been happy, its just time for more.
I will no doubt be hitting Ali up since he's local, and I have a garage with a bunch of tools and a compressor.
I will post pics like I did in my last thread as I go along. This is my daily, so for the most part, anything done to it will be in spurts to make sure it still drives.

No problem again buddy!
HG i wouldn't run anything other than TT headgasket.
TT auto will not hold 600whp for along period of time, 500whp it will work with 2/ 3 big trans coolers.
BL auto i don't like because they tell you how to drive your car so the trans can last you! I have seen a guy local to me make 970whp on BL auto on Proefi and it's a track car.

This 240 is on BL auto with Proefi

AEM doesn't like BL trans depending on which one you get v1 or v2, the V2 just had an update for the auto trans.
V1 will kill that BL in no time, atleast from what i have seen.
Diff , TT 3.76 auto will work great and that's what every auto guy runs.

Brad,
Do it man ! i used to hate my R154 setup because the guy who rebuilt it didn't know wtf he was doing so the trans was all screwed up this is a built R154.
I was on stock R154 81k miles made the power in my sig and 680wtp on E85.
I was having problem with the built R154 around 512whp lol .
After all the issues i had with that setup i started hating the R154, if you search through here you will see my posts.

The soarer is just over rated if you ask me lol , i had 2 of them and it work just as good as the mk3 if you get the shifter extension done properly!
Just find a low miles one and extend the shifter ..boost away my friend.

I would just wait , because it will blow up.
The thing is you can't use none of the w58 parts on the r154, you have to get all different parts.
R154 parts are not interchangeable with the W58.
With the right clutch W58 will hold ok power 400whp but you might end up breaking it .

Do it right the first time, save yourself the headache and just get the R154, Its a lot more robust and will handle the beating.. Just look at Omars set up.
Youll prolly spend under 2k for the R154 swap..
Trans $800??
Flywheel $250
Extended shifter housing $200
clutch kit $300
driveshaft $100??
misc $300??
Those are some rough numbers.. and you can find deals around too!!
