Default Just another 1jz SWAP

Started with pulling the 2JZ out today, while i wait for parts to arrive for the 1JZ.

This is my first time doing any kind of motor swaps on cars. Every suggestion would be great from ya'll.

So far i got the hood out fans out, alternator out, fluids drained only M/T and PS fluid left to drain. Most of the harness out of the way, need to disconnect ECU harness but will do that as the very last step.

Here are some pictures.

You can unbolt ac compressor from engine and tie it off to the side. Not sure if the 1j is the same as yours.

Hopefully my clutch arrives today so i'm ready to put it all back and drop it in.

I just did the swap myself in my SC300, so let me know what hoses you have questions about and I'll take pics of my setup and send them your way.

I have some good news and bad news
Good news is i changed valve cover gasket ( 7M ) fit nice and good, put new hose between the covers that kinda put them together.
Changed rear main seal first time and got it done perfect. A video on youtube helped took me 20 minutes to do it all. Yes i torqued it and used the right stuff because i reused the old plate and it had no gasket. and i lubed the seal with brand new engine oil lol
New spark plugs NGK V power lol

Bad news:
My clutch and flywheel are no where to be found. I called up TH motor sports today and asked them wheres my **** its been 4 days and no tracking number. They said its coming right from competition ( manufacturer) so they will have to contact them and give me an email about whats going on, but i never heard from them again

Questions:
Does anyone know what size wrench fits on the camshaft of 1JZ? Its pretty big i know and i dont have that kind of wrench, neither do i have an impact or anything. Whats the trick to open cam gears to change my cam seals? If i can get the exact size i can go to the part store get it and return it back after using because i will barely use it.

Sorry i didnt get back to you guys about the vacuum, i will try to use it and see how far away i can get with it. I just want to change all the hoses on this motor. I wonder if there is a kit that someone sells for the 1JZ, so i could but all of them at once and call it good
Here are some pictures and hope to get some more work done tomorrow.

32mm will work on a 2jzgecam or you can use a crescent wrench (adj. wrench) . You should go to a pawn
shop and buy tools or rent them from auto parts store. The one thing i hate is not haveing what i need when
working on my car.
Do not use the crank pully from DM.
