ok so I figured I would put up my build thread. so I picked up a 96 sc 400 in December on a trade. when I got it, it had a 2jz single turbo with a aem v1. but the guy tried to make is own conversion harness but failed. so I purchased a tweakd harness. tried to fix a few things to get it running after the harness install (thanks Tweakd) but the aem twin fire ignition box decided to catch fire. I guess it lives up to the name. the car is an auto right now but thanks to JWIN I now have a complete r154 swap. the car had an all tan interior, which was ugly. so I decided to have the dash covered in suede thanks to school only cost my $40. cant beat that. So after the many issues of trying to get it to run, I decided to make it a complete race car. so I started stripping everything. I think the pics will speak for themselves. my plans are to drift the car and maybe some road racing. but we will see. these pics are what the car looked like when I started I will be posting some more pics of my progress up to the current point

the turbo and rims where removed when I got the car so I had to do some shopping. I got a precision 6266 from a friend for a decent price and the guy I got the car from gave me a different set of rims first thing I did was remove all the crap I didn't need like everything on the interior. I also got a siebon carbon fiber hood for it too. after disassembly I got the dash back and installed along with the sparco steering wheel and nrg hub and quick release

Not a bad start. I would have went a different route on a few things, but overall I think it will exceed your expectations. What are the future upgrades for drifting or racing? New suspension, or ???? Oh yeah, does the car run at all?

UPDATE
So I finally got the cage fully done along with the fuel cell brackets and installed the tank. first few pics are work in progress then the finish product. I also decided to make my own steering column to get rid of the god aweful factory setup. its all about weight savings. stripped the entire harness and all of the bull**** I didn't need. again only a race car not for street setup. these are the plates welded to the floor for the main hoop and the start of the main cage
