sc400 w58 2jzgte swap in progress

he is talking about the housing area on top where the shifter bolts too. it has a different design than the w58, toyota keeps changing the shifters a little bit. looks like a w55.
And AZ turbo I understand the W series can last a while around 300-350hp, right now my w58 is probably seeing more than that but I drive it very carefully. If it didn't come stock on my car it would be the last transmission I would spend any money on, cause once you put a single turbo on and finish everything else you don't want to be limited to 10-15 psi, that is fun compared to stock sure, but for me feels just normal now If I had an r154 I would have turned up the boost, gotten an lsd and have about twice as much fun with the car.

My car at the shop. Status pull motor sold it dropped exhaust and driveshaft. Pressure washed the engine bay stripped everything down to paint it. Started freshing up the motor change cam seals crank seals put in the arp studs. Had issues with water pump I have to order a complete on cause the jam doesn't bolt up with the USDm front. Mocked turbo mani have to make adjustments to make it work dremel out the holes so it can bolt up properly. Tapped the oil pan for the return. Place the rear sump on and siliconed everything tight. Removed cam gears. Installed adjustable ones painted the engine block after hitting it with brake cleaner. Sprayed the intake mani with wrinkle paint.

engine bay looks nice and clean. coming along nicely. what motor mount brackets are those? they don't look like SC mount brackets. you will need to change them if they are from an aristo or Gs.
