She hates me like an ex wife.

I got a used crank pulley thanks to Omar. I've never replaced one so it should be a fun weekend.

The 1UZFE V8 is an awesome engine...As you said, rock solid, torquey and nice V8 rumble. It even has 6 bolt mains and an aluminum block. Stock crank is forged. Very nice and reliable 32 valve engine, but stock set up is too slow...Even in it's VVTI version, it was only 290 crank HP...Especially with the very heavy SC.

Agreed...It will take big cash to take a stock 1UZ and get big power as a NA set up...To turbo it, big money to...if you want much power...

Agreed...it takes a lot to get the 1UZ up in power...

Tundra V8???..heard of it in whispers..lol
Tundra V8 with the Cast iron block is great and has been done...But expensive still...The best and most efficient single turbo build I have seen on the 1UZ is Steve Chumo's Single Turbo build...Nice set up, and great power...But i still don't know how much it cost him...

I do know from experience that in most cases, boosting the V8 is expensive, custom as there are no kits out there to buy off the shelf, and the room in the engine bay is very tight...

My thoughts...

BTW, Tabaka, very nice build...

Southbend clutch kit is ordered.

All that's left is the TT headgasket and ARP studs. I should pick those up next week and then I'm ready for install.

Stay tuned!

I'll probably keep the mufflers, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the 3" downpipe to the factory exhaust. My plan was to add a QTP electric cut out underneath so it sounds factory when I want it too. I'm just concerned with the DP connecting to the exhaust, or if I should replace it all. I definitely want it on the quiet'er side. I'll visit an exhaust show after everything is installed.

Nothing really new to discuss this week. Congratulations to Omar on the new baby I'll wait for him to get situated at home, and then connect with him when he's ready. I'm in no hurry, I need to get a second car in the near future since my baby is due in October. Finally, my SC will exclusively be a weekend toy.

Got under the car tonight while it was on a rack. I'm going to list all of my current problems to date.

Steering rack is leaking from the driver side boot

Power steering pump is leaking all over.

Steering column needs to be replaced.

A/C compressor works but there are leaks all over the lines

Oil pan is leaking

E-Brake doesn't hold the cars weight on big hills

Driver side air bag doesn't work

Front brakes grind

Needs front lower control arms

Needs front upper control arm bushings

And the car needs new motor mounts.

Not that bad. Most of that can be done in a short amount of time.
