Never seen your car before but your SN had me confused, thought you were building an M3 to look like an ISF
Build is looking good! Watch out with all those brake lights you might draw un-wanted attention....

If you want to do wiring right, take a look at this article. Electrical tape should only be used to seal corrugated wiring looms where the wires exit the corrugated tube, never to insulate a connection unless you want to have the problems you've already identified.
Even though this article references solder solutions, I do not recommend soldering any wiring harness because (as they point out in the article) the flux and solder wick up the wire and create stress points which will fracture one strand at a time with vibration (very common) and you're scratching your head on exactly what went wrong and where because you can't see it without stripping back the insulation. I spent more than a few unhappy hours chasing issues on the 135s I supported in the Air Force because they had soldered multi-pin connectors from the 50's and 60's. By the 90's they were rewiring the whole fleet of 135s with crimped pins because wiring maintenance was impossible with the soldered connectors.
I use uninsulated crimped barrel connectors for splices and cover them with heat shrink tubing. It is extremely reliable if you have decent quality crimping tools.

It was a Borla with a resonator delete. It's actually for sale right now!

Which borla model? How much??? Where are you
Located? I'm north of Houston. How bad is
The drone inside the car? Low rpm
Drone? I had flowmaster 40 series with a smaller
Resonator on my last 2008 isf and want to do
A more aggressive exhaust on my 2013. But not loud. With
Less drone.
Thanks!

I will have a video up as soon as my HKS mid pipe comes in!
I am in the Bay Area, CA. Drone is subjective, but I didn't experience any drone unless I was driving up a steep hill for a long time. The videos you have heard in the LA River and on the dyne correctly depict the sound.

Not to be a huge critic but there are so many IS-F's with SSR SP1 or Work S1R type wheels on the ISF/second gen IS.. I really do believe its an awesome wheel that suits the car almost too well.. which is why its so popular, but its played out to the max lol. Thumbs up for having nice wheels though.
