I wanted to share the condition of the MK3 driveshaft that I received from the seller.....first impression was that it looked like it had been left outside in the elements for years....
I spent about a good hour or so cleaning up the input yoke as it looks like it had been left outside for a long time...
I ended up getting it shiny again but I had to wetsand it with oil and then polish if afterwards....

I managed to get it cleaned up pretty good and installed it......the U joint to me appears to be on its way out as well but I wanted to install it as is....
I have driven the car a few times so far and I have not seen any leaking issues come back.....but I still need to put some more miles on the car to be certain that it is all fixed

Been daily driving the SC but unfortunately the weather hasn't been cooperating here....seems to be raining every day this past week and a half
But in the meantime focusing my efforts on getting the Tacoma 4x4 back on the road again....It needs a new clutch...the throwout bearing had been squealing really loud for the past few weeks and it finally failed......
Gonna be spending the majority of the night trying to get the r150F out of the truck....this should be interesting since the transmission and transfer case are all one piece....its gonna be a PITA due to the weight and length....but it needs to get done...
I decided to go with LCE engineering Pro Clutch kit for the 5vz.......
It seems weird to me at first that the instructions call for the spring side of the clutch disc to face the flywheel.....which is the opposite of all other clutch jobs I have done...
But It does go that way after confirming with both Toyota and others who have done the clutch job....

But for some reason it will not separate from the engine....keep in mind it has never been taken off...
The biggest problem is the front differential being in the way, it doesnt give you any room to get leverage on it to try and split the bellhousing from the engine..
