Swapping GS400 3.26 ring gear over to Auto LSD.....per the Toyota Service Repair Manual....you need to boil the ring gear so it will slide onto LSD with ease...

I ordered all new bolts for the ring gear....used 4 old ones to keep the ring gear seated...

Wait, are you just putting the 3.26 ring gear into the auto diff with out swapping out the pinion gear? I hope that's not what your doing. The gears will bind if you don't swap both pinion gear and ring gears together..... When you do that you need to check backlash to make sure its within spec and correct preload on the pinion. I would just put the new center section back into the gs400 diff with new carrier bearings an seals. Then you wont really have to check preload or re-shim the pinion. Just make sure backlash is in spec.

I might be wrong but you will have major issue's if you don't use the same pinon with the ring gear. When I did mine, I took both diffs to a drive line shop and had them swap over the 3.26 gears into the TT case for under 150$.

That is correct I am using the whole gs400 pumpkin....

The SC300 diff is still on my car....I am building out the entire gs400 diff and replacing it on my car....

All the pictures are showing the GS400 diff I purchased from Aliga...

The only thing that will be used from the SC diff will be the companion flange switched over to gs400 diff

Nope using whole gs400 for TRD LSD....I went with this diff due to the 3.26 gearing...I didnt make sense to me to buy a Supra TT diff for upwards of $1000 just for the lower gearing..

Braided lines and fittings from Red Horse performance......to JDL auto design SC300 catch can.

I ended up tapping the factory hole out to 1/2 npt on both valve covers...

The passenger side really should have been a 3/8 npt instead of the 1/2 npt....it just took way longer and much more difficult to get the big 1/2 npt tap started..

Mocking up the lines....

Passenger valve cover all finished to catch can....I am going to make a small bracket utiizing the mounting location of where the heater core used to be..

After tapping each valve cover....I submerged each valve cover in hot water to get all the shavings out....then submerged both in a degreaser/water bath.....and used air compressor to blow out all remaining water/shavings/etc....

Looking good man. We were doing the wastegates and vacuum lines this weekend. I was worried that my heater control valve would not clear the catch can lines that run like yours do, but I test fit it and it clears just fine. Definitely a close fit though.

For sure man...it is much easier to do without ugly heater valve in the way....

I really need to get the hotside manifold, downpipe, turbo, etc....all ceramic coated....along with getting some other pieces powdercoated.

Finished up all lines....awaiting k&n crankcase filter to put on open end of catch can..
