Flywheel ready to bolt in
ARP says to put assembly lubricant under heads and Loctite 242 ( red ) on threads and torque to 70 ft. lbs
Torqued in sequence ... and done. Pilot bearing installed with larger hole for the AR5 input shaft

this is so awesome, can't wait to see the ar5 mated to the 2jz. thanks for sharing your build.
I'm assuming the r154 shifter extension does not fit the ar5.
Do you think it would be possible to cut and weld the ar5 shifter assembly shorter?

I believe Fedex was also used to ship that thing from FL to CA.
Transmissions can go in containers because they weigh a lot less.
Hell of a big engine, by the way, that 606. Finns love them the way we love 2JZ's.
Just the engine block without the head and oil pan... Still heavy though.

Me either! I think bead blasting would be the only way to get mine that clean.

Thanks guys. No need to clean it.. nobody looks at your transmission anyway
Worked 8 hours today:
Wiring on
Coilapcks on
Lube for the clutch area
Ready to go in
Decided to not to bolt the transmission for now. Dont' want to add weight to the oil pan.
Decided to tackle the tunnel
Tommorow will be the cleaning of engine bay, new heater hose and Supra thottle cable, effing tired! Snack time!!!!

Lookin good. You should make a stick for the trans swap. Ill probly have an easer chance finding one here in hawaii than a 154 for a good price. So I will be referencing this.
