congrats on the start up brother!! looks and sounded good. i think the smoke is normal coming from the heat wrap(pls someone correct me if im wrong). it should go away after a while.. did you buy the silicon coat for your heat wrap? im not sure if it will help w/ the heat but if you wanna change the color of wrap might wanna check em out. Congrats again..

DEI silicone spray. I think you spray it once you wrap your manifold. Im not sure whats the purpose but i just mentioned it if you wanted to change the color of your wrap.

That is normal for the heat wrap to smoke. Usually when you wrap something your suppose to soak the wrap in water than wrap it super tight, than spray it down with silicone spray made for heat wrap after it drys out. I just use regular exhaust paint which works as well. After the warp is "broken in". It will shrink tighter onto the dp and stop smoking after a couple miles of driving.

It was installed dry but it was a tight roll... I think it is really burning, I mean look at the downpipe it didn't change color at all.

I agree that your header wrap looks pretty bad. It really does look "cottony". Not sure whats up with that, but I think you are wise to carry a fire extinguisher. I would probably unwrap that and try again with some proven stuff.

Yeah, i drove the car at least 4 miles already... still smoking. Will take it off tomorrow. I bought DEI tan with silicone spray. I just hate that I will take them apart again
