Playing with the front bumper

The center piece is pretty sturdy, I don't know if I should reinforce it still.... Well, off to Walmart to get some fiberglass resin to cover the spaces.

Is that the AIT AutoCouture style bumper ? Is it all fiberglass meaning its not bendable/flexible ? That is , it breaks if you flex / bend it ? Fitment seems good from your front picture . I love that style than the 97+ OEM . It sits lower to the ground. The only thing I hate is if it is pure fiberglass , it is easy to tear once you heat a curb or parking lot concrete stoppers.

Yes it is by AIT, pure fiberglass not bendable at all. Fitment is ok and doable. Not just paint and install, I have to clean up the edges of the sidemarkers and grille since they have excess fiberglass material on the edges. I used my Dremel to deburr those excess.
This bumper is not as clean when it came out of the warehouse, but just like what I said it is doable and can be fix to fit right. Seems like a typical fiberglass bumper that usually needs alteration to make an exact fit.

From the pictures of Shine kit, they look clean out from the warehouse, but I am not sure since I never had one from them.

I am used to park my car far enough from the concrete stoppers, it is just a matter of getting used to driving a lowered car.

Overall the fitment is good, all symmetrical, meaning bumper aligns to the fender, headlight, and hood. No misshape at all

Hmmm , not for me then. I am always very careful in driving my cars but there would always be times in which you are absent minded or in a hurry and forget about having a lowered fiberglass bumper and there you go , that conrete stopper / curb damages that fiberglass bumper. Even dips / inclines can easily damage it. I have damaged a lot of fiberglass bumper lips and never again will I use any of them.

I suggest to keep your 1997 front and get a BigWin lip

True. Pricey straight from Japan, one of the best lip out there. Why not go for for pre-97 lip on a 1997 bumper?

Or... customize yourself The JesLet lip

Lantern? Kettle? Flat iron? Some sort of steam machine?

Don't laugh, this will go in front of the car above the intercooler. It has three 1/2 NPT fittings into 12mm breathers. The best i can do for now.
