It pays to have good friends. I wasnt motivated to work on the motor today becuase of my back but they still wanted to work on it. So we was able to put the head, waterpumnp, thermostat and front mail seal on. I need a beter torque wrench so i can torque the head so we stopped for the night.
One of the homies helping.

Didnt work on the engine today but i did test fit my new poly front lip from APT Tech. Fitment is dead on and i didnt have to modify anything. in the pic the lip wasnt mounted but it was just sitting on the bumper so there are spots that are poking up but once i actually mount it you wont see that. Will be getting the new bumper painted along with the lip after the motor is installed.

There is a guy in one of the SC facebook groups that makes these. His name is joris baker or something like that from across the pond. Quality is really good and it only took like 2 weeks to get.

No problem man. So i didnt have much time to work on the motor today. But i did manage to take the old exhaust studs out of the head and swapped the 550cc injectors from the gte rail to the stock rail. Plans for this week is to torque the head, install cam seals and torque cams. Install puilleys and misc things. Also have my one friend painting the valve covers for me. So hopefully by the end of this week or next week motor should be ready to be dropped in.

Had some time tonight to work on the motor for a little bit.
Turbo and mani mock up. Im pretty sure i will have to reclock the turbo once its in the car.
Mani mock up
Act 6puck clutch with HD pressure plate. ive heard mixed reviews on this. Some say its hard to engage 1st gear with this set up and some say its not that harsh. Some also say you will get use to it after a while. I was looking for something with more of a stock feel. so we will see what happens. I got this clutch set up for a pretty good price and if i dont like how it feels ill just sell it and get something different.

Nice work so far man!! Keep it up!
And about that ACT pressure plate, you should be OK with it. I have heard horrible things about the Xtreme pressure plate, even being a major cause of crank walk. But the HD is pretty much a happy medium. I don't have any direct experience with either setup, but did alot of research when I was deciding which clutch to go with on my cd009 swap. Originally got a 6 puck ACT with Xtreme PP, but never installed it because of everything I read about it. I instead have a Southbend stage 3 endurance kit and its perfect. Bites hard, but is also slippable. Also, the supra guys over on SF rave about its driveability and power handling

thanks man.. Its a long process but im sure you know it as from your build haha. As far as the clutch yea i was going back and forth on which one i wanted to go with. Ive also been hearing alot of good things about the SB clutches. I may just ditch the ACT and pick up a SB clutch kit and sell the ACT.
