Likely it's in for a rebuild, might as well replace your motor and transmission mounts too while your at it.

A rebuild kit from the block up is only $400 lucky for you. Found OEM piston rings 175, head studs 350..
im not looking to swap any internals, thats why engines die! im only doing a tune up and standard maintenance. i consider an overhaul when you've invested $1,000+ in the motor/trans. but im ready to swap motors soon. #vvt-i

Lol who said anything about swapping internals..... This is maintenance if your motor does happen to have a leak...

Also if engines die it's most likely they didn't swap Internals and put a big fatty turbo in it, next thing you know there goes a knock knock and a rod through the block.

wow didnt realize its been this long since i updated, lets catch up!

took my car to a shop for maintenance back in january while i was on leave, come back to find out my car was stolen! detectives recovered it a week later. i attempt to start it and the motors got a knock (which by coincidence paulo was right lol ^) not only that but the trans was gone. this is by the way not the first time the trans has given me issues. So i left the car at the police impound lot for awhile. Saved up 2 months of pay and had the motor and trans rebuilt. $1,000 bucks anddd vrooom, car starts.

my advice: DO NOT GET YOUR TRANS FLUSHED EVER! & ALWAYS LET YOUR MOTOR WARM UP FOR AT LEAST 60 SECONDS.

I also wanna share my exerience working at a tire shop for the last 2 yrs. i know everything you need to know about tires

i do not recommend rft's (run flats) on cars, suv's only because the ride comfort is ridiculous. paid 600 for a pair of bridgestone potenzas that only lasted me 6mos on tread. DO NOT BUY THEM.

as far as on my car ive only dealt with the 16in stock rims and my enkei rpf1s (18in)

on my stockies i have blizzaks which are useless in anything else but snow. being that i live in ny/nj it comes in handy. i havent tried them on sand but i imagine it handles good there as well.

ive tried kumho ecsta asx's and im not impressed. they are the factory tires but they are only good for the 1st 1,000 miles after that they just lose grip and they puncture easily. Although its only 200-300 for a set.

another tire ive tried are bridgestone re88's. they are factory tires on sc300's. i got them for $50 per tire. they are amazing. they only last about 10,000 miles but you cant argue that price. too bad their discontinued, but if you get your hands on a set DONT HESITATE.

last but not least are my current set of tires: pirelli P6's. msrp: $200 per tire incl ship, tax, mount, bal.
i paid $100 at 90% tread. these are great tires as well. ive had them since september and they still have 60% left. they also look flush on the car, ill post a pik lata.

*ALWAYS GET YOUR CAR ALIGNED. IT SAVES YOUR LIFE AND YOUR WALLET.

it also keeps your susension "in check"

(5-7-14) ok so yesterday my front right tire struck a pothole and ripped. 2hrs for progressive's "road side assistance". paid 150 for a michelin hx mxm4. USED. car is either off alignment again or the new tire is too soft. thinking about getting 3 more michelins to test them out. FYI michelin mxm4's are oem for camry's and accord's.
