Daily sc300 1jz swap
What's up club lexus people.
Back in February after "totaling" my 93 dodge stealth, I picked up a garnet pearl '94 sc300 with 68k miles, factory 5 speed.
Bought it from an older guy, second owner, who had barely put any miles on it since he got it in '03. He wanted $6900, and I talked him down to $4000, which was a hell of a deal.
Drove the car as is for about a month or two before I got bored of how it was, so I ordered some BC coilovers. Here's what it looked like after I put them on.
After that got a pretty sweet deal from a friend at Import Image Racing on some Cosmis Racing Wheels.
Once I got around to rolling the rear fenders I dropped the coils as low as they could go comfortably.
I decided I wanted to do a soarer 1jz swap so I started saving my pennies, with a few exceptions. I got a really sweet deal on a quick release set-up locally, and found the griffin emblem here on the CL classifieds.
I picked those up around 2 months ago, and just last week after some heavy rain went through a puddle that I really shouldn't have. The motor hydro locked. Towed it home, got all the water out, changed the oil and spark plugs, and it had some serious rod knock, sounded like a metal woodpecker was going to town in there.
So today I picked up a Soarer 1jz from a friend of my brother. Planning on leaving it all pretty stock for the time being. I'm just planning on doing regular maintenance to it and dropping it in.
Stay tuned to see how it all goes!

Thanks guys.
I got around to giving the new harness a good look, and found a cut section, which I believe is the igniter wires. gonna head to the junkyard today to see if I can find some igniter connectors off a '95 Avalon.

1JZPWRD, it was about 7" deep.
Couldn't find any 95 Avalons at the junkyard today. Does anyone know of any cars that use the same igniter connectors as the 1jz/avalon? specifically the 12 and 4 pin connectors.
I'm about 90% sure that the guy that sold me the motor lied, and the engine harness included is a chaser harness. If anyone knows someone with an uncut jzz30 1jz harness for sale, send them my way.
