Default Going to be starting a beginner build soon(95 SC400)

Hey all, been spending the past few days looking around at the builds of others and it has gotten me very excited about the potential of my car. Recently came across a very clean 95 SC400 for only 2 grand! It does need some minor work such as the window motor, comfort control screen, and a decent size dent and paint scratch in the back.
Here is what I am starting out with:

(Hopefully those pics work)
This weekend I plan of replacing the comfort control and stereo head unit, fixing up the rear bumper and possibly smoking out the taillights(still not convinced on this one though).
Hoping I can get some advice from other users here. I don't have much experience with mechanical stuff but I am eager to learn (but my friend who is better at this stuff will be helping out).

Really excited about this car and can't wait to see how it turns out over the next few months! I'll be sure to keep this updated if other are interested!

What would you like the car to look like in the end? Sc400 is a great starting point and have many possibilities. Good luck !!

Heh.. As nice as that would be it's a little bit out of my price/experience range. Plus, would that pass the smog emissions inspection?

I would like something sleek, dark and stealthy, but nothing too flashy. I saw the '97 body kit and I think that is what I want to go for.

I'm in the north part in the mountains, West Milford. Might be cool to check out other peoples cars. But I'd probably be the odd one out since I'm only just getting started with learning about this kind of stuff. And I'll check out that forum! Thanks for the tip!

that would work great! if you're a hands on guy; there's a lot you will learn on the way. best advice is to stick with PROVEN parts and don't cheap out. its a tough mistake that some guys regret and makes building the car less enjoyable. on that note; you'll be amazed by how much you will love that car once you do a true exhaust system!
