BUT ANOTHER UPDATE
IT HAS BEEN A BIG DEAL TRYING TO MAKE THE SPEC CLUTCH WORK
but its working now that's what matters
ill give you the details
SPEC CLUTCH ON A W58 (the never ending battle)
clutch came in assembled and looking pretty
so took it apart so I can start stacking it on
after about a hour or two
everything is together and ready to go
but in order to make this happen a list of what I had to do
put the purchased flywheel and take out .00005 cm of meat out of the crank hole on the fly wheel
so it can fit nice and snug it was to small
I don't have pics of that unfortunately
so after everything is said and done me and a couple of friends muscle the w58 on and get everything prepped and ready
day 2
start the car doesn't go into gear...
blead the system made sure everything was correct and same thing
looked into the door near the clutch fork and see everything working accordingly so next thought is something internal is goin on (**** me right?)
so to rule out anything else to see ifim wrong
extended the slave rod.....same problem
this was done to see if the throw out bearing wasn't moving enough into the pressure plate...
didn't work

upgraded master cylinder for the clutch
will wood 3/8 compact badd *** cylinder
didn't work
(now im a little pissed off)
day 3
so I make a call to numerous people my old boss who owns a trans shop
and to another person I happen to know that specializes in Toyota and lexus and a bunch of other imports
they tell me clutch is install fail or a 3rd party clutch manufacture **** up
so your probably thinking poor mike hes ****ed well let me tell you that's not even half of the issue
so I did everything I could in my garage im only a little guy cant really bench tranny all damn day
and i have work and or other activities to attend to like my mom in the hospital due to cancer and me dealing with a daily ford expedition that's bi polar
day 4
so i dropped it off at uhera motor works
i told him(mori god of imports and jdm goodies skys the limit lmk whos fault it is so i can yell at myself or spec clutch
he sends me this picture
so first look at this you would think the sticker would say EW but it F.W really smashed together
but were you really need to look at is the contact point near the rivet near the sticker
the bolts that they supplied also comes with washers so as you would think i put the washer and bolt on torqued em down and started to finish up
day 5
so now im sending emails to specs manager and asking him wtf is ew and why is this happening
he said the kit come with no lock washers and that's f.w smashed together...
i said then find out why i had washers and please space out the F.W on the 1st disk so dumbasses like me don't ***** s%^t up but i did put it on the right side (thank god)
he emails me back
the tech that built your clutch put the washers in there by mistake
(im super excited now)
day 6
so i got a battle plan setup with mori
and he told me
ill rip the washers out and shave some of the head of the bolt to get it to fit
he ended up finding some special made bolt that are made from chuck Norris that are slim and can handle the tq
so im waiting for mori to finish up
day 7
i get a call your cars ready
HELL YA
im super excited
im going to pick my car up and smash the streets
get to the shop and
mori tells me this
it drove perfect and youll love it
i mounted your custom reservoir from willwood for you
made a custom bracket for your slave cylinder
and changed you oil and trans oil with eneos oil (misspelled that )
this was a 900 dollar screw up because of a tech and his washer fetish from spec i installed everything by the book no skips no cut ends BY THE BOOK
day 8
new shift ****
and a pic of her being healthy
broke in the clutch and then went to throw her in some corners
ive been lagging on my posts
mom has cancer
spec screwed me
couldn't drop a trans three times due to lack of time
im just happy she runs and drives
my review of spec clutch
sales 4 out of 5....i got a smoking deal out of the clutch
customer service 1.5 out of 5....a lot of b.s i had to go threw no happy
quality of parts unknown haven't put a lot of miles on it yet im at around 750 still seeing if it holds up to the task

yea paint is on the agenda
but....
coils are coming soon
new paint is a secret a very dark and elusive color very exquisite blend of color
something that isnt to flashy and something that blends with the mb battles
then thats it i will be finished with her im setting my sights on my s13 again getting ready to finish it up so money that was planned for standalone and new injectors/custom built w58 is going to be put on hold
im going to Hawaii next week
vacation time AWWWWWWW YEAH
