Back then wings west was pretty much top of the line in the US. I can't find pics of the first body kit ever made for the Civic, I just remebering it having two little round foglights.
They're all knock offs now, and that bumper was originally called the "Black Widow". This kit was released 14-15 years ago right around the same time F&F came out. Now-a-days every body kit manufacturer makes this copy. After that the black widow 2, then was the release of the BW2 widebody for the CRX. Who all is old enough to remember that!?
For those who don't...
Throwback Thursday!
Actually it wasnt originally called black widow. That was a copy! Win racing from Japan was the originator of this kit Not sure if you can purchase the kit new or not but its still on l-tunedparts.I know, I myself still have a REAL Win kit for the gs.
Its getting there guys fortunately I have a wonderful family and I coach my daughters Comp Soccer Team so we got a little busy. I've found that I only want my hands on the car so I put full days in when I have them and there is a lot of those coming. I also just went to a "Good Guys" event and man could the import scene use something like that I guess "nopi" and "HIN" will have to do. Any how the body and the final lines are finished on the car and the interior is gone and seats are in. Took the car on a spirited shake down drive and what a blast this car is going to be. I promise primer and paint soon.
So just to update this, things came along but the car is still getting worked wasnt sure of the color still so we plasti-dipped the car in the color to see first. I still have to finish the side skirt caps for the car and I like the DTM look it has as I want a fun track day car. We have also put in the fixed race seats and removed 400lbs of weight thus far. Very fun car to drive still more work to come will be back in action on this project over the winter hopefully to finish sometime before christmas. Now before the spoiler becomes a topic note that carbon hood and trunk will be in place of the hood and trunk currently and the trunk will be minus wing.
the wing will go soon enough once carbon trunk comes in
good idea, but the execution could be a little better. The rear over fenders need to be cut and shaped for doors to open, filled on the rear passenger door where the gas cap opening is on the over fender, could stand to be extended more into the quarter panel, sideskirts needed, rear diffuser,...etc etc. I'm sure you're not ready for paint yet though. Hopefully not. This is an IS with a rocket bunny kit from a FRS that was properly done. Owned by a female and she tracks it. Take notes:
