Dan's SC300 NA-T Adventure
Hey guys,
Been lurking around here for quite some time now and have finally pulled the trigger on my NA-T build. For a little background on me, I started out in the s-chassis (5 s13's before my jzz30) and ended up finding a super clean 5MT SC300 in town for a steal.... So, now im here...ready to make big boy power haha.
I was hoping to take this first post and sort of give a list of parts that ive come up with and get your guys opinions and thoughts for my goals. Im doing the build 100% myself, and tuning it (with a pro's help) myself.
Im looking for a solid 550whp on 93, and maybe +100whp on VP Q16
My plans for now include:
R154 (bought it tonight)
2mm Headgasket and ARPs
CX Racing manifold
BW S363 .88AR
BC 264 Cams (if you think they are necessary for my goals)
Walbro 400lph
Tial 44 or Turbosmart 45
AEM Series 2, 3.5bar map, boost control, failsafe wideband.
ebay diy fmic
deathworks 1000cc injectors
retaining distributor and factory intake manifold (for now)
I was trying to do my math here and build this setup so that once I "finished" the build with COP conversion and FFIM, more fuel, that I could get into the mid 700's on race gas. Any words from the pros before i start ordering parts?
Currently how the car sits:
BC Racing BR's (12k, 10k)
new bushings where they were needed
Cosmis MR-7 18x10+25 245/40s -2.5deg camber.

Dan, looks like a great start...there's a few members that have seemed to have perfected the NA-T build? One that comes to mind, lexforlife-he's making some pretty solid numbers on his NA-T build. And he's been driving on his NA-T for quite some time. If I'm not mistaken he's still running the factory dizzy as well? Good luck and keep us posted? What part of NC are you from or living? I'm in Fayetteville now.
