Father-Son Project
Hello all, name is Brandon and this is my 1st post after being a vulture here for the past couple of months.
I surprised my wife with this sportcross back in the summer of '06. She had been crazy about the wagons since they came out and when i happened across it on a used lot I figured I had better jump on it. Anyway, its been the favorite car she's ever owned from day 1 not causing us 1 bit of trouble over the past 8 years...plus she always has loved how rare the wagons are. I only recall seeing one other wagon like it here in mid-Tennessee over the years.
Having said that, my 15 year old son didn't like the idea of inheriting his mom's car at all but since he didn’t have a job/money his choices were limited. It took you talented folks on this forum to convince him of what we could do.
This weekend we tackled our 1st big project...installed H&R Sport Springs, KYB struts and new 18" Tenzo TZ7 wheels/tires . It took a little longer than we thought it would but other than a little rubbing at low speeds on the fronts we really like the way it turned out.
Here’s some before and after pics. There’s some more we want to do but I think it’s safe to say we are on our way to “de-moming” this old wagon…

looking good!
imo, 18" rims look a bit too big, but thats just my opinion..
when i turned 15, my first car was a 1990 plymouth sundance, so your son has it good...
quickly got out of that, and into a 1997 mitsubishi eclipse GS-T afterwards... lol
