My first surprisingly lexus gs300!
Sup fellas, this is my first Lexus i ever own 3/13/14. Out of my 30+ integra/ civics. I surprise myself and even my family/ friends when i purchased the car. Lol not trying to make it a big deal or anything its only a 1998 gs300 . But i never thought i will change it up at least not yet. Overall i fell in love with it as soon as i drove it off the previous owner garage. I love the luxury look , stock sound system and most importantly the way it drive "SMOOTH". The body is clean with 1 to 0 dings/ paint chips. The interior is horrible, almost didnt buy it because of that. The mother passed it down to the daughter who i purchased it from. She is a big smoker, cig buds all over. She doesnt know too much about the car beside putting in gas. The head looks new, compare to the bottom block. From the way it looks, not as in washed but from a shop. I will be posting pictures/ updates on the car! Im just going for a clean simple look. Enjoy and please feel free to school me anytime
Purchased price: $2,000
Title: clean
Owner: 2nd
Miles: 324k but the car drives like it has 100k

Sorry no pics on some, but i have done sparkplugs, oil changed and buffed lights. What i need to do next is transmission flush which I will bring it to a shop. Also i notice brown stuff in my coolant...Did some research and it leads to transmission oil which is very dirty. I dont think its a head gasket? I drove the car an hour away from where i bought it from. The temp stays rite above the middle line mark and doesnt move. no Smoke from muffler.

So i posted my stock wheels FS on craigslist, and i got a call rite away asking for trade. IDK if i lost or gain on this trade but...
mine: brand new tires/ rusty marks
trade: clear coat is peeling and needing new tires. 18s 225/45 rear 225/40 front
what tire size should i get for it? idk if im going to lower it just yet bc i honestly like the way it look.

yes! well i changed my motor oil, sparkplugs, thinking about trans full flush tommrow.. and buying new radiator, i honestly believe my oil cooler is leaking in the coolant. car is not over heating. on HR drives, no smoke, and still pull pretty strong... temp mark stay just above the middle line, and dosnt move.

so this is how my radiator looks like...i took off the 2 bottom tube connect to the radiator and its the exact same color fluid leaking out. my engine oil is new... So oil cooler leaking into radiator? im buying a new one tonight @ autozone. -_- $150.00

The lines on the bottom of the radiator are to cool the transmission. They run to and from the transmission. If the radiator cracks internally, coolant can get into the trans fluid, and trans fluid can get into the coolant. I would drain the radiator and replace it. Refill with the Toyota coolant. I would also only drain and refill the trans. Pull the drain plug on the bottom of the trans and refill the 2-2.5 qts through the trans dipstick. Start with 2 qts and then start the car to get an exact measurement on the dipstick. Add if necessary. This usually only requires 2-2.5 qts. Use only Toyota IV trans fluid. Do not flush the trans, at that mileage it will destroy the trans very quickly. You can do a few drain and refills with the trans about 50 miles apart and that will slowly get some clean fluid in it. Too much clean fluid all at once (full flush) is never a good idea with high mileage.

Once more, that is not engine oil, it is transmission fluid being cooled by the radiator. If you refill the radiator and the transmission with Toyota products (both coolant and transmission fluid are red), when you get thru with it all, you will still find a red liquid in the radiator and a red liquid in the oil cooler.
