600hp dd lexus sc300 supaa chill!!
Okay guys i finally decided to start a build thread. I been holding off on it for quite some time now. First ill introduce myself. My name is rob, own and drive a 1996 lexus sc300 2jzgte aristo swap. Currently living in ks. Even though i been a member for close to a year now, I'm rather still new to the forum. Just to let you guys know I'm doing most of my typing from a phone, so bare with me.
Just to let u guys know. This i gonna be a SLOW build depending on funds.
Okay now more about the car.
I bought this car a year ago from a member on here. It was located in Boise Idaho at the time. Its funny cause he also bought it from another member on on here in Texas. Both time it was shipped rather driven to the new owners. So i thought that was a good thing.
mods on the car so far:
Small single turbo, eBay brand i think
2jzgte aristo swap.
A/f boost water temp gauge
Aem v1
Plans for this car.
I want a 600hp dd but would like to build the motor for more, just in case if i get bored at 600 mark. Things i need to hit right off the bat is battery relocation. Ive been searching around the diy thread and cant seem to find anything. Ill keep looking but if anyone wanna shed some light on this, it would be helpful. Ill take any tips you guys got.
Second i would like to pull the engine soon to prep for tear down and machining. Again i never removed an engine before so the more help the better.
Pics of the car.

pulling the engine
undo the harness from ecu and body plugs under the dash passenger side pull harness out
undo the fuse box plugs and progressive powersteering ( the one i always forget)
grounds one by the firewall, trans, and the one by the battery
drain fluids (coolant, oil, and trans)
remove radiator undo heater hoses
undo ac compressor
remove ic piping
undo shift linkage
drop exhaust and then drive shaft
unbolt fuel feed remove the fuel return and then unbolt motor mount bolts under the cross member
then the engine is ready to pull!

Seems to have been tastefully modded to this point, good buy! They have already answered the main questions but yeah, running the battery is fairly simple. Depending on your skill level, pulling the motor is a tough/easy, common sense thing. Pretty much un hook everything, label everything then pull it out..

I always wonder. What is the advantage to having vvti swap instead of just regular 2jzgte. Ive seen people go with vvti head or 1jz head before. But is there hp gains in these heads over a regular 2jz head.
