The true "FAT" setup for 18s is to run 45/40. Some here have done that. I've thought about it for ride comfort but changed my mind due to way too much rubber on the sidewall.

When he said "fat setup" I was under the impression he meant staggered setup and that is why mentioned the sizes of the tires!
Just like you I don't particularly like the "fat setup" simply because of too much rubber on the sidewall!

did u get the alarm installed yet? also, do you have different rim size for front and rear? or is it the same size? can u even put that wide of a tire on the rear if the rim is the same width as the front?btw, i am contemplating putting on my shoes tomorrow...cuz we have a heat wave here! 40 degrees!

so the fat setup is 235/40 for the front and 265/45 for the rear? can this be done if both the front and rear rims are the same width? thanks!
