I dont think you will be able to replicate the Ltuned feel no matter where you set the suspension. Especially since the Flex have solid pillow ball mounts, you dont have that squishy comfy rubber anymore! If you put them at full soft 16/16, the ride will be comfy, but the suspension will feel like Jello and it will have a really wallowy feeling. I say get the EDFC and then play with it on the fly. Also the ride comfort is in the back of the car, so the lower the rear, the worse the ride! (ask me how I konw LOL)

Hmmmm............... I did not see any rubber mounts on the L-tuned suspension when it was taken off - so I am not sure how much worse the ride is with Flex compared to the L-tuned because of that.

I already have the EDFC, just haven't had a chance to install it yet. I want to do it myself but cannot figure out how to run the wires under the carpet. Once I figure out that momumental challenge, I will do most of it myself except the power connection.

yeah from what I understand, the flex has a aluminum tower where the strut top bolts up to the car, where as the Ltuned/CS/HA use the factory rubber one (or something like that) bottom line it transmits into more road noise, etc but also much improved handling!!

Note about the EDFC, it is not a 1-2-3 type procedure, if you are not 100% sure of your abilities I would suggest you take it to a authorized Tein dealer!

Good luck man, after you get the EDFC, you can fiddle with your height/dampening settings until you reach the tradeoff your willing to accept! I have my car really low so the ride is stiffer on really bad streets, but on the highway its pretty cool!

Just run them along the side of the car. There is a plastic cover that runs along the sides of the front and the rear door frame. Pull that up and you will see other wires going through there.

I agree with this. Hameed - the springs and dampers on the coilovers are very different in design and setup from the L-Tuned suspension. You said you want it to be more capable than L-Tuned but as comfy - I don't think it's possible. As D also said, your coilover setup (I believe) is now a lot lower than the L-Tuned you had, so there just isn't the 'travel' in the suspension.

I came home via about 160 miles of highway today by the way with the EDFC set to my highway setup 14/16 - maybe you should try that. Handling is still good - I have a suspicion the springs reduce the body roll mostly, but with the dampers set soft there's maybe a bit more floaty than L-Tuned.

One more thing Hameed - I think I only paid $100 to have my EDFC installed (or maybe it was $140 - I get my EDFC and SAFC-II install costs mixed up) - I'd have it done by someone else if I were you.

yeah hameed, i don't think you will have the same comfort level with the flex, maybe close if you run close to 16 settings front and back, but still the flex will probably be stiffer than the ltuned setup.

I cannot find a local shop that will do it for only that much.......... Sometimes I wish I was in Cali so that my install costs are lower. Of course the beautiful weather all year round also helps!

I am starting to get used to the stiffer ride (8/10). I am just driving slower now when on bumpy roads.

Oh well, hopefully I will get the EDFC installed pretty soon and then I can reach a compromise setting of comfort level and handling ability. I am still optimistic I can find it! Maybe not as good as the L-tuned, but hopefully close.

I really think my "highway ride" setting (14/16) is more comfortable than the L-Tuned was, and I can certainly drive all the time in that setting, but you do lose some control as it's a bit more floaty. This morning on the way to work I messed around... 4/6 then 14/16 then 4/6 - it still amazes me how easily I can feel the changes. My wife is also amazed.

Yes, that's right. Unless you want to get slammed around, you can't expect to drive a stiff car on bumpy roads comfortably.

You mean stiff car right?

On another note I have found a Lexus trained mechanic (my local Lexus dealer mechanic) that also works on the side and I am getting him to do my brakes (everything as you know) for $200.00 (about US$150.00). Good deal eh? He does such work after hours at a small place he rents. Obviously I would be paying him cash. Tomorrow I will have the StopTechs on!!!

Looks awesome Hameed, sounds like you have a good deal worked out on install too.

Hehe, yep, was typing in that post while eating lunch and obviously lost my train of thought! I fixed it above.

Way to go!!!! I'm looking forward to reading what you think of the brakes. Now remember to tell your tech that bleeding these brakes may be a real challenge. Nuum thought he had mine perfect (no bubbles in brake fluid coming through) but after putting the car back together it wasn't right initially (way too much pedal travel). So we tried again - I talked to a guy (Matt) at StopTech and he said 'hold' (eek) the rotor in a way that allows the caliper to be fully upright (with bleed screw straight up - it's normally at an angle when on the car) so bubbles can really get out. We did this and only saw one additional bubble but maybe that was it, because after Nuum got the car back together again, the difference was night and day.

I definitely agree with this statement.
