Ham, the brakes look awesome man, and its unbelievable that they are 3inches larger yet lighter than the stock ones! With the smaller diameter-lightweight wheels, coilovers, bracing (?) and brakes your car must be an absolute BLAST to drive!!!

Enjoy man, just be safe, make sure you give yourself time to adjust to the new parts before really putting her through paces!!
do it too D! honestly lately it's been crazy. seeing all the guys doing this and that, i feel i am a dead dog

and yeah, very nice hameed, congrats on the new brakes!

WOW is all I can say Hameed. What an incredible setup!!! You can't get any better than HRE's with a set of StopTech big boys behind them!!

Way to go, beautiful choice!!

DAMM hameed those things are sweet , man you are building a true german killer

have you thrown anyone out the windshield as yet hitting those huge rotors , couple of guys down here (i think reg and johnee ) had the pleasure of getting pressed up against the windshield when my supra setup was questioned but those should eject some passengers

great setup , i might have to take a trip up to you one day to go for a ride with ya

Thanks guys for all the props! The brakes are absolutely amazing and very firm. Whenever I apply them it feels like a parachute has opened up behind me and yanked me to a stop.

Ed, I could not have said it better myself. Yes, all of you FL guys should come out Canada and we can have one major CL meet with hooked up cars!!

and i am really surprised the stock rotor is heavier. if i recall my 13.5" rotor was a tad heavier than stock. very interesting
Yes indeed - very interesting. The stock 11 inch rotors are definitely heavier than these 14's. Absolutely no question about that.

With the lighter wheels, lighter suspension and lighter brakes, my car is indeed a blast to drive!!!

Now for the next round of mods
EDFC and LSD.........................

Im keeping stock brake setup, but I will need all new rotors and pads in a few months... Ok so far Ive concluded:

OEM toyota pads, front and rear
and:

What do you guys recommend for rotors? I was thinking the basic brembo, non-slotted, non-drilled. Are these significantly lighter than the stock rotors?

Also in slight consideration is an ebay seller that has aftermarket brake rotrs for WICKED cheap... "LP parts" is the brand name, and they go for about $100 for a set of four, which makes me question them alot.

I swear man, the one reason I did not want a E39 Beamer when i sold my 1st Gen was because it has TOO MUCH aftermarket support. I would always tell myself, I have too much stuff to buy for that car: wheels, suspension, aero, Angel Eye/Celis lighting, braking, braces, ICE, etc, the list goes on and on.

Day by Day I think to myself "what have I done buying this car"?? I am one of those guys that could have cared less about big brakes, but day by day I want them more and more. Someone needs to start a Mod-oholics Anonymous or something!!!!

Or better yet, you guys stop making threads about things I may want!!!! Dammit!!! LOL

Hameed, if you got the 3.76 gears, then your car is going to be very very quick! Enjoy

i don't think it will be lighter. the main reason why these big brake rotors are lighter is that only the outside is of heavy duty rotor material. the center is made of strong light weight aluminum. that's where most of the weight saving is. so unless you get these kind of rotors (if one available), i don't think you can save much
