Also my 1993 project Daily D.
Much like Luxor story i found this 93 Gem in my state. It was a local Lexus Dealer car for years and always serviced, found the detailed service records until the last 50k or so on it. First thing i had to do was fix a small coolant issue, then i started on the interior detail tonight. Spent a lot of time cleaning out the ash tray shiz and went for the cabin air filter but its absent not one there so i have some major cleaning to do. Car has been garaged its whole life and i will put up better pics later on. Bought the car for 2800 as a daily beater due to my is300 turbo trans or pilot bearing or something gave me fits saturday so im tearing into it to fix it up. Ultimately i would like to sell the turbo is300 and find a 2011 gs350 awd and then ill end up building a track day supra.
My favorite feature is the old school car phone, i plan on making fake drug deals with nobody on the other line like its 1993 again! Fully loaded car i dont see an option that wasn't on this one and everything is functioning as it should.
I plan on doing a full tune up and some as time goes on.
Enjoy !

The worst part of the car is the driver leather seats they are ripped pretty good. I will have to find some better seat covers, this just kinda came with it.
Put in new headlights to day that was a blessing, 1 screw to do both lights lol. On my is300 it takes like 11 screws = 1 light
(The guy in the photo could possibly be me but i will say its "old photo of a drug deal going down in 1993, and i need a Don Johnson Miami Vice suite before October 31st"

Today i focused on three things and got three solid outcomes.
Went to international battery and for 4.21 usd i got a replacement battery for my keyfob. Keyless entry works! Only thing is it doesnt flash the lights so i have to listen when i am close to the car etc.
My Wix air filter came in for the stock oem air intake box - check on the install
My Gear Shift plate was pulled, heavy detail of crap underneath gear shift plate area, and modified the plate as you will see in it's own dedicated post.
Tomorrow Drain and Fill on the Radiator so i can thread dope the fittings where i have a very small leak.

Cooling system is working as it should, holds pressure at 13 psi. I can run full heat and full a/c without it going crazy. Still strange to get bubbles in the reservoir tank to me after the car shut off shrug
This weekend, replaced the rad cap with OEM cap, replaced lower rad hose, upper rad hose, thermostat, thermostat gasket, added toyota red with distilled water after full flush.
Changed the Serpentine Belt to a Gates serp belt.
Still getting a few drops on the trans coolant line fitting and hose but its 85% better than it was.
Next up
Fuel System Cleaning, Oil Change, auto trans drain and fill,
Anyone have a spare "window washing tank cap?" for some uknown reason thats the only part i missing around the engine bay.
