97 SC300 GTE Single Turbo Build
Started my single turbo swap a couple weeks back. One thing i've learned about this whole process is I should have just bought a specific kit instead of piecing everything together. Otherwise its been a great experience.
Started with a my JDM GTE swapped SC300 with Soarer R154 trans, still on the stock SC300 auto rear diff 4.27:1 ratio. Not my choice bought the car like this.
It also came with the Greddy/Trust Soarer FMIC kit, 3inch intake, Spec Stage 2 clutch kit, Megan Racing downpipe, Tanabe Super Medallion Axle Back Mufflers and Walbro 255 intank pump.
It was a fun setup, quick enough....but not quick enough to beat my buddies stock 10 Camaro SS with straight pipes.
So I decided to go for 500-600 rwhp with the capability to hit 800 rwhp later on. So I went with a Borg Warner S366. I bought a custom forward facing tubular manifold, 50mm EWG, FIC 900cc injectors. Wanted to get a 4inch but decided to just go with a 3inch for now and upgrade to a 4inch later on.
For now until I can afford a standalone "can't decide between V2 or ProEFI" I'll be just running the stock Aristo ECU and 17psi with a BCD.
Anyway on to the pics!
And done for now. Running good at 12psi... gonna start turning up the boost alil when I get a wideband in.
I might be moving up to a V160 and TT rear diff next year but we will see where I stand financially.

Haha yea, it might be even if I'm just on the 12psi. What turbo are you gonna be running? I love the tanabe exhaust, super quiet until you go WOT. Unfortunately I'm not gonna be running it on this setup. Gonna be running a 4in single exit.
